Everybody Is An Expert
Factor Y is turning out the experts this week. No, not the know it alls who will talk their fool heads off about a particular subject as if they know what they are talking about, but the honest "go to" men, who when going gets tough, will provide solutions every time they are called upon.
Experts are leaders. When people have a need that pertains to a certain field of study, occupation, or niche, they turn to the experts. If the experts can give the right answers every time, and solve problems, they will be increasingly looked upon to solve more problems. Those who work close to the niche of the expert will begin to follow that expert. Genuine respect is reaped on the expert.
He becomes a leader.
We are going to find out about the experts of Factor Y

They Just Know
We become experts through intense study and continued experience. Static knowledge becomes dynamic in the hands of an expert, because that person will endlessly apply the knowledge to practice and then expand the old knowledge from what was once held as gospel. Experience an increasing knowledge feed off of each other and the expert grows to greater respect in their field.
These people will then become recognized as leaders and cultivate followers in their niche.
When an expert is in the "groove", he often has no way to express what he is doing. He just "knows". Experience and knowledge meld to become some invisible guiding hand, as he seemingly without effort goes about some task in his field of expertise.
We see this time and time again in professional sports. It was seen in Gandhi's famous "No Resistance" speech. Sargent York displayed this expert in the "groove" behavior in WW I. Watch a man who has worked on cars all his life. Watch him change an alternator out before finishing his first cigarette.
This is why we turn to these people. They give us what we need, time and time again, sometimes without knowing all the mechanics.
Are You An Expert?
Sometimes we know exactly what we are experts at, other times we have to be reminded by those around us.
Having to be reminded generally means that those experts are introverted to some degree, yet if left alone to work their niche, they will focus intensely, while those who are constantly aware of their expertise have no problem performing while others look on.
Do you have to be reminded that you are an expert?

No way, I am completey aware I am an expert in......
Yes, I'm often told that I need to do something because no one is better than me at.....
OneFootPutt says:
Its funny, because the more you become an expert at something, the less you realize you know about your subject, and the less you feel like an expert.
Under Pressure
Working your niche as an expert often means to work under pressure, and the gents of Factor Y have the confidence it takes to produce quality results, time and time again, while working under pressure.
