In this lens I will tell you some facts about Missouri and then challenge you to several quizzes. I have lived in several different towns during my life, and they have all been in the great state of Missouri. I feel Missouri has much to offer for everyone. It has changing seasons, yes we do have very hot summers and sometimes snowy cold winters but the great thing about Missouri is a phrase we often say "If you don't like the weather in Missouri, just wait. It will change."

You will find people in Missouri to be friendly and helpful, whether you live in the big cities of St. Louis and Kansas City or some of the smaller towns in the state. Missouri has beautiful scenery from the corn fields of northern Missouri to the Ozark mountains in the southwestern part of the state. Missouri has two great rivers, the Mississippi and the Missouri, and many smaller rivers and streams. This makes for great places for state parks, camping, fishing and a host of outdoor activities. If you love entertainment you can go to Branson to see lots of shows, or to some great outdoor theater productions in Kansas City and St. Louis.
Missouri is a state in the midwestern USA. It became part of the US as part of the Louisiana Purchase and was called the Missouri Territory. In 1821 it became the 21st state. The postal abbreviation for Missouri is MO and the state capital is Jefferson City.

Until I got to the Sports Quiz, I only missed two. I loved that you included small towns like Ozark, Nixa and Camdenton. Usually when I tell people I used to live in Ozark, they say automatically assume I mispronounced "The Ozarks." Another fun MO fact, Neosho (15 mins outside Joplin) is home to the world's largest flower box.

After spending two weeks in Springfield, I found that I like Ozark, Nixa, and the Battlefield area. You are right about the weather. I absolutely hate the weather but it did change from hotter to just plain hot. Still, there are some wonderful things to do there. Branson is a major tourist trap but then, coming from Southern California, that was no surprise. There are some really good shows there that I did not have time to see. Branson also has a great quilt shop where I could have spent more time (and money). Thanks for blessing my lens on the road trip to Missouri.

St. Louis, I guess. I don't have one because I never have gotten out of the car in Missouri...

Thanks for the great quizzes on Missouri! My husband is from Missouri (born in Hannibal & grew up in Macon!). He would have done much better on the quizzes than I did!

This is wonderful. You have certainly done your state proud with all your wonderful lenses and photography. I enjoyed the quizzes although I didn't do that great.
