Do Fairy's really Exist?

Being who I am and what I believe, I see this question the same as being asked if I believe in Angels. All of my life I have believed in Angels but have I ever seen one? To be honest, I do not think I have. I have always believed in Fairies, but have I ever seen one? Again, to be honest, I do not think I have. I can honestly say that I have felt the energy of an Angel which I wrote about on my lens Angels-Our Guardians and I have felt energies that I relate to faeries, and I will write about them below.

In my research I have found so many fascinating things to share, including the fairy hoax. I found some really good links and will list other information. I am going to list a few of the faeries favorite flowers and herbs. I may even include a Faery Tea I created.

No, you are not seeing things, I will refer to fairies as: Faery, Fae-Folk and Fairy

This is one of my fairy pictures that I created.

Did you know...

That May is considered "Fairy Month" it last all of the up until Mid-June. So when you are outside, watering your little flowers that you planted especially for the Fairies, watch closely, because there is a chance you could see one of these beautiful beings fluttering around!!

Results from the Poll Question:

Do fantasy creatures really exist?

53.8% answered-Yes, without a doubt!

15.4% answered-No, not at all

30.8% answered-Cannot decide

Okay, over 50% of the people who voted on this question, believe in faeries.
I really found that to be interesting.

I believe, I really do-it may not be the same as everyone else but I do believe in faeries and their energy. Nothing would ever be able to convince me other wise.
Why? That is a secret.......perhaps for the next update.

Take a moment and do the poll, please.

Just because you do not believe does that mean I have to feel the same way?

type=text

One of the biggest things I have learned in my life is just because one person believes one way and another person believes another way, it does not mean either is wrong or right, but it is our own individuality that allows us to believe the way that is right for us.

As children our innocence and purity allows us to believe in things and as an adult, you are swayed to view things through eyes that are no longer innocent and pure, and the truth is Life does not have to be filled doom and gloom! I am a fifty year old woman and I am writing this lens and admitting that I believe in Faeries, some will view it as my elevator not going all the way to the top, and others will agree with me because they too believe in Faeries.

I suppose in my life this all compliments my beliefs that "Life is filled with Magick, if we allow our eyes to see it"

I have seen a very shrew look on someone's face once at my shop and then seen it manifest into a beautiful smiling face just because I dusted them with "Faery Dust". I remember her friend walking back over to me and thanking me for doing that because her friend was having such a rough time. This can be translated however you want it to be, but the truth is, this lady either believed the dust would make her feel better or the dust really is Magickal Faery Dust. As long as we have an imagination and the willingness to believe in something, it will always exist in the heart.

The F1 wrap: Fifth winner in five as Pastor Maldonado reigns in Spain
In a fairy tale ending, the famous Williams team, who had their worst ever season last year, took their first win since Brazil in 2004 in front of owner Frank Williams and his family, who travelled to celebrate the legend's 70th birthday.

Mummified Faery Hoax

The above picture is suppose to be a mummified faery found in the Derbyshire countryside by a man's dog while he was walking him. You can read the story here: Mummified Faery You can read more of story here: Dead Fairy.

I read these sites and I read the comments which made for some interesting reading. Then later in the day I found this site explaining it was indeed a hoax: BBC News

I will be the first to say that I usually do not waste my time with kind of stuff. I have mixed feelings about the whole incident, but thought it may or may not be something you are interested in.

For me...

I mentioned above that although I may have never seen an Angel or a Faery, I have sensed their energy.

In my case it is a feeling of joy, happiness, kiddie giddie kinda of feeling. This year I planted many different flowers for the fae folk. And each morning when I would go outside, it was the most beautiful thing seeing this plants, they felt magickal.

I suppose I honor the fae because they are a part of Nature, and Nature, well to me The Goddess Earth is my true mother.

I definitely believe in magic and all things that come along with that power. (I would sure like a brownie to choose my house to take up residence in...)

If you go to http://friendsoffairie.blogspot.com/ and scroll all the way to the bottom, you will see two pictures. These pictures took themselves....I was not holding the camera at the time. I was taking pictures for E-Bay. I get different reactions when people see them so I am not going to say they are fairies.....but who knows? And yes, they will make it onto a lens some day. I'm going to move that blog here soon.

I'm open to the idea. There is a lot in this world that we are unaware of. Angels walk among us, seen and unseen, why not faries?

I have no idea as to whether or not faeries exist but I can honestly say that for people who don't believe in anything they can't readily see or touch...they are being fooled.

To me Jamie, by you doing that and understanding that you are using your intuition which is something that many have a hard time trusting. Thanks for your Comment.

There is so many amazing creatures in this world.. some discovered some not. I know that I have never seen an angel or fairy, but i feel they exhist. I feel with it with my mind, body and soul.
  • fotolady49 Nov 2, 2008 @ 7:21 pm | delete
Very interesting...and have learned some new things.....maybe things in the spirit world manifest to us according to our belief structures.
  • poddys Nov 2, 2008 @ 7:20 pm | delete
I wonder where the stories of the little folk came from? I somehow doubt that people thousands of years ago would invent such strange creatures as fairies and pixies, gnomes, goblins and elves if there wasn't some element of truth in their existence. However ridiculous it may seem to believe in them, there are yet many things that we do not understand about our world, whether it's to do with spirits or whatever. So I have an open mind that creatures we cannot prove exist possibly do. Very nice lens, 5*****
