Equal Opportunity in the Workplace
An equal opportunity for recognition and advancement is critical to the success of Corporate America. It's crucial for the overall success of a corporation because the dynamics of fairness falls under the banner of reciprocity. In other words, if there is a mutual exchange of privileges this creates a win-win for the company.
Many of the top brass of corporations utilize unfair politics, practices, and favoritism based on race, level of sycophancy, creed, greed, and other improper and unethical methods. Little do they know, or even care to understand, is that the law of reciprocity works collectively, just as it does individually. Why do you think the United States has been embroiled in such chaos, confusion, and debt for the past few decades? To borrow a phrase from the late Malcolm X, "the chickens have come home to roost."
Unequal and unfair recognition is the quickest way to lower office morale. Recognizing the sycophant is not good in the long run and it creates animosity throughout the workplace. Rewards, recognition, and raises are for those who truly deserve it.
System For Fair Promotions
All employees should receive frequent and constructive feedback. A good employer will also provide support in the professional development of its employees, along with timely appraisals.
Fair Pay
Employees should be compensated fairly for the work they do. The company would not be in business without the staff that consist of occupational and management workers.
Appeals Process
The appeal process is usually where most companies drop the ball. It is critical for employees to know that they have a fair opportunity to have grievances heard and acted upon by management. Unions have gone the way of the dinosaur, so it is important that employees have a fair and equitable way to settle differences.
Eliminate Favoritism
Eliminating favoritism is much easier said than done. People simply have favorites however, if you are in a management position, or any position of authority on your job, know this: playing favorites has deleterious consequences in the long run.

Do we not realize we come from the same source? Do we not realize that we will return to that source? The source is not discriminatory in any way, shape, or form so what will be your explanation for your earthly behavior?
There's racial discrimination; gender discrimination; religious intolerance; and myriad other ways for us to disrespect and dislike one another. - When Audrey Murrell's mother was a biology student in the 1950s, she was told that she had to wait for all the white students to finish their experiments before she could use the lab.
Fast-forward to the 1980s, when Murrell was a graduate student herself. The discrimination she faced was not as blatant but just as real. She was excluded from study groups, and other students would take all the copies of homework assignments before she could get one.
