Introducing Fairport Convention
Fairport has survived more than 40 years on the music scene. At last count the group has seen 11 lead guitarists, 11 lead vocalists, 6 fiddle players, 7 drummers. 2 keyboard players and 2 bass players come and go (and, in some cases, come back again).
Infamous for their annual Village Fete Music Festival - Cropedy - the group make toe tapping music that is loved by several generations of followers.
I prefer Fairport without a female lead vocalist - I know others disagree. My favourite track is 'Who Knows Where the Time Goes'. what's yours?
