Fairy Face Paint -- Enchanting Face Painting Ideas

The original Tinkerbell fairy face paint tutorial is titled "Tinkerbell in 3 Steps". I'm going to break this face painting down into some extra steps to make it easier to follow. This is not a word for word translation. If you prefer, I have an illustrated step by step Tinkerbell face painting tutorial that shows you each step.

Step 1:
Apply a bright or lime green over the eyes, up above the eyebrows and to upper cheek using a sponge.

Step 2:
Apply a pearlescent green powder over the green face paint.

Step 3:
Use a brush to paint on the white decorative lines. Paint the first one from inner nose up onto forehead and end in a scroll. Add the second white line just below the eyebrow, and the third flicking up from the outer corner of the eye.

Step 4:
Add 3 petal shaped curves just beneath this lowest line, as though creating a flower shape around the eye. Add 2 more of the petal shapes between the line on forehead and the line beneath the eyebrow.

Step 5:
Create a teardrop shape between the eyebrows, with a smaller teardrop on each side of it. Add 3 white dots directly beneath this decoration. (The correct placement for these fairy face painting details is shown in the video.)

Step 6:
Using a darker green (a pearlescent one is used in the video), add definition to the white decorative lines by tracing their inner edges and adding additional curves. Add dark green line above white petals in centre of brow.

Step 7:
Paint the lips with a pearlescent red face paint.

Step 8:
Add glitter to central decoration and around outer edges. In the face painting video both silver face glitter and green glitter are applied using a fine brush.

Your Tinkerbell fairy face paint is complete!
