My son has a talent for face painting and I've tried to encourage him to pursue it. This will be an excellent resource for him.

    Thanks for the great info.

There are some fantastic male face paint artists out there. If your son hasn't yet seen his work, I'd recommend checking out 'Marvelous Masks'. Thanks for your visit, Teri!

They are all beautiful. I want to go back to being a little girl so I can be a fairy this Halloween. I was always a witch or a gypsy. Sigh...
  • WordCustard Sep 13, 2010 @ 2:17 pm | delete
Oh me too! They have such pretty ideas today.
  • KimGiancaterino Sep 11, 2010 @ 4:41 pm | delete

  • WordCustard Sep 10, 2010 @ 2:18 pm | delete
In that case I hope these fairy designs get her seal of approval! :)

Love the look of this lens and the topic too. Takes me back to childhood. Fairies are always so cool for girls..
  • WordCustard Aug 21, 2010 @ 3:59 pm | delete
Thanks, and you're right -- girls just love fairies! It's easy to see why.
  • Stazjia Aug 21, 2010 @ 5:12 am | delete

Thank you Stazjia! Fairies are such a lovely topic to write about.
  • SacredCynWear Aug 21, 2010 @ 3:17 am | delete
You need to stop making so many great face painting lenses! I keep deciding on a costume for my girls, then see one of your other lenses and change my mind. That or I am going to have to have more kids! * In other words, great job on the face painting stuff!*
  • WordCustard Aug 21, 2010 @ 5:30 am | delete
LOL. Your girls will just have to try them all. :)
  • WordCustard Aug 18, 2010 @ 6:31 am | delete
Thanks for the kind comments, I'm glad these fairies won you over like they did me! :)
  • vallain Aug 17, 2010 @ 6:35 pm | delete
My sister was Tinkerbell back in the 1950s but they didn't do face painting for Halloween then. She didn't like the plastic mask, and I'm sure she would have liked the designs you show.
  • Sylvestermouse Aug 17, 2010 @ 5:35 pm | delete
WOW! A fabulous selection of costumes and face painting instructions. I really like the True Blue Fairy costume :) Most Excellent!
  • prosperity66 Aug 17, 2010 @ 3:45 pm | delete
I've never think about a fairy face paint for whatever holiday... But I enjoyed the visit and would go for such a face paint on Carnival - you know, Carnival is more popular than Halloween here ;) Thanks for sharing, face paint Queen ;)
  • Wednesday_Elf Aug 17, 2010 @ 3:29 pm | delete
Another delightful Face Painting collection of tutorials. Excellent! Fairy faces would be popular any time of the year for all kinds of events, parties, or special times. What fun. Well done.

Now, how about a collection of Sports Face Paintings -- you've seen those 'painted faces' on fans in the stands at football and baseball games, for example? I'm only familiar with the antics of American sports fans, but I'd bet Scotland has a few fans who 'dress up' and 'face paint' at sporting events too :o)
