Do you already have fairies in your garden? Do your fairies have a fairy house yet? Creating a fairy house can be as simple as clearing a space under a tree, adding walnut shells and making a bark shelter. Try adding twigs for a roof and maybe some windows. Do you know a young child who would like to help you?
Garden Fairy House!
Fairy House in the Flowerbed!

Where do the garden fairies live in your flowerbed? My grandmother always said that they lived inside iris blossoms. But iris blossoms last for such a short time, I think that they really need a garden cottage to live in.
Grass can grow on the roof and moss can grow on the wall. Plant flowers nearby and your flower garden will be filled with fairies.
Do fairies live in your flower beds?

Yes!
Jadelynx says:
I just wish they would weed it while they are there ! :)
thehiddenhollow says:
I don't have a garden as such, but there are fairies in the woods.
Hume says:
Either they reside in our gardens or somewhere in our woods- they have made themselves known early this year, gathering in the air over our heads in frenzied, joyous swarms, as happy to see such an early, warm spring as we are.
Terrie_Schultz says:
Of course!
Ruthi says:
With all the moss that grows in my heavily shaded back yard there must be fairies in the flowers. Tidbit sure spends a lot of time sniffing around out there! Maybe I should build a fairy cabin and see if I can catch a glimpse of the wee folk.

I just moved in, so need to welcome the fairies to my new gardens.
DID YOU EVER?
from Child songs of Cheer by Evaleen Stein written in 1918
DID YOU EVER?
Did you ever see a fairy in a rose-leaf coat and cap
Swinging in a cobweb hammock as he napped his noonday nap?
Did you ever see one waken very thirsty and drink up
All the honey-dew that glimmered in a golden buttercup?
Did you ever see one fly away on rainbow-twinkling wings?
If you did not, why, how comes it that you never see such things?

Woodland Fairy House
Fairy House in the Forest
Take a walk in the woods and you will find all kinds of materials for making a fairy house.
There are pieces of bark, twigs and stumps from fallen trees.
Look around in the leaf litter and you may find acorns, leaves and more twigs for creating tables, chairs, and teacups.
A fairy house in the woods can last for a surprisingly long time. Each time you walk though the woods look for something new to add to your fairy house.
Soon you may discover that fairies have moved right in.

A Hobbit Hole for Fairies
Tree House for a Fairy
Do your wee fairies live in a The Hobbit Hole down under a tree? You can clear the leaf litter away from the base of the tree between two forks in the roots and create a small Hobbit door.
Will you make a round green door like Bilbo Baggins' front door or will your fairy house have a square or rectangular door?
Add a doorstep and a knocker so that your fairies will know when Gandolf comes to call.
In the autumn, fallen leaves make beautiful decorations. Place on in front of the door as a doormat. Crumple some colorful dried leaves to form a carpet.
How will you decorate your fairy tree house?

- I'm afraid my garden is too neglected for fairies to want to live in. I think they'd prefer to live by the river.
