So You Want A Fairy Tattoo?

Fairy tattoos are among the most popular of all tattoo designs. Fairies are magical and beautiful and fun, it's no wonder that so many people decide on fairies when making a tattoo choice.

Fairies come in all shapes and sizes, and it's fun and easy to find the perfect fairy tattoo to match your personality. As a henna tattoo artist, I do a lot of fairy tattoos. Some are playful little sprites, some are womanly and beautiful and some are even dark, scary and evil looking.

Finding the right fairy tattoo for your personality is the most important thing to do before you actually take the plunge and get the fairy permanently tattooed onto your body. Lets take a look at some of the great possibilities there are when considering a fairy tattoo.

Getting a Fairy Tattoos

What you need to know before you get a tattoo.

A permanent tattoo is a lifetime commitment. Before you commit to getting a tattoo, take your time and find a tattoo design that you will love for the rest of your life.

One of the best things about fairy tattoos is that fairies have been popular for thousands of years, so it is highly unlikely that fairy tattoos will ever go out of style.

Choosing the right fairy tattoo for you is going to be the most difficult decision you make before you actually get the tattoo. Take your time, look at lots of different types and styles of fairies before deciding. Getting a membership at one of the tattoo design sites can really help, since most of the free tattoo sites are full of low quality images or images of fairy tattoos that a lot of other people already have.

You want a fairy tattoo that is really cool and one of a kind. The best way to achieve this, is to find 3 or 4 fairy tattoos that you really like and print out the images. Then take them to a tattoo artist that is actually an artist too (some tattoo artists don't do their own artwork, they use tranfers of other peoples art) and tell the tattoo artist what you like best about each image. Then your tattoo artist can draw up a unique design, just for you, using the qualities that you like.

Almost Any Fairy can be made into A tattoo

Choosing a Fairy Tattoo Design is the hardest part

There are just so many fairies to choose from that it almost boggles the mind. Finding the one that is just right for you is mostly just a matter of personal taste.

Amy Brown fairies, especially from her fairy diva figurine collection are extremely popular fairies for tattoos. It's easy to see why. Amy brown fairies have attitude and are beautiful.

Not All Fairies Are Pretty

Fairies come in lots of different varieties.

Dark or evil fairies are also popular for tattoos. There are so many different styles of fairies, that even if you want a fairy tattoo that is very unique and different, it's pretty easy to find something you will love forever.

Tattoos are expensive and you need to be able to live with whatever design you choose, for the rest of your life. So take your time and explore every possibility before making your final decision.

Spending a few dollars now to help you find the perfect fairy tattoo design, can save you a lot of heartache later. Tattoos can be a beautiful work of art on your body that you enjoy for the rest of your life, but getting one that is only sort of like what you really wanted, will be a disapointment and embarrassment for the rest of your life.

Take your time and wait until you find the perfect fairy for you before you actually go ahead and get a permanent tattoo.

Choosing a Tattoo Artist

Not all tattoo artists are created equal.

Choosing A Tattoo Shop

The tattoo shop wher you get your new tattoo is almost as important as choosing the right artist. Make sure that the shop where you plan to get your new fairy tattoo is licensed and clean. Make sure that the staff uses all of the safety and sanitary precautions required by law. Getting a tattoo at a party from some guy who is a friend of your ex-boyfriends cousin, may be cheap, but the hepatitis, gangrene ir HIV you contract from his dirty needle won't be.

Choosing a Tattoo Artist

Ask any potential tattoo artist to show you a portfolio of the tattoos they have already done. All legitimate tattoo artists keep these handy to show off their great work. See if the tattoo artist has done a lot of tattoos in the type of style you want. Every artist has a personal style that comes out in their work, if the artwork in the portfolio is similar to the style you want then go for it.

If the artwork in the portfolio doesn't have any tattoos even close to the style you want, then it is totally okay to keep looking for a tattoo artist that does work that is more your style. Most tattoo artist won't even mind if you ask them to refer you to another tattoo artist that specializes in the style you want.
