Verse of the Month
............................................
"My heart rejoices in the LORD; in the LORD my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in Your deliverance. There is no one Holy like the LORD; there is no one besides You; there is no Rock like our God." (1 Samuel 2:1-2)
This is my Desire
To Worship You Lord!
This is my Desire.
To worship You Lord!
Mini Fellowship Teaching
There is a *song that Austrian worship leader Darlene Zschech wrote that touches my heart every time I sing it. It draws me closer to the Lord in renewing my relationship with Him. Knowing that every breath we take is a gift from our Heavenly Father and total surrender to God brings a peace that cannot be described.
"This is my desire, to honor You, Lord with all my heart. I worship You, all I have within me. I give You praise. All that I adore is in You. Lord I give You my heart, I give You my soul, I live for You alone. Every breath that I take, every moment I'm awake, Lord have Your way in me."
As the New Year is beginning, why not begin with a renewed heart in the Lord. Jesus loves you so much and wants the best for you. Let Him guide you in everything that you do this year. Give Him your heart! (pcw) *from I Give You My Heart/Hillside Music
Make this confession as you sing.
Lord I give you my heart.
Let this year be the year.
Make a commitment to the Lord.
Lord with all my heart I worship You.
All I have within me, I give You praise
All that I adore is in You.
Chorus
Lord I give You my heart, I give You my soul
I live for You alone.
Every breath that I take, every moment I'm awake
Lord have Your way in me.
Repeat verse & Chorus

God is My Source
Scripture Reading: Philippians 4:19
"But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ (the Anointed One and His Anointing) Jesus."
There is a sign we hung in our church and in our home that reads, "God is my Source." It is a reminder for us to remember that our jobs provide an income, but the source (power to get wealth/money) still comes from God.
Understanding that God is your source and supplier of all your needs will open opportunities for the better job, increase of pay and abundance of all good things. God is our source, not man or our job. People change and so do our jobs, but God the supplier never does.
No matter where you work or get your seed (money) from, remember that God made it possible for it to be given to you. Give Him thanks and praise for the new seed that is about to come in this year.
Faith Moments© daily readings are easy to follow, and they do not break in the middle of a chapter so you can keep track of what was read.

Wait on the LORD
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)
"But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint."
Waiting for anything is difficult for man, so when we have to wait longer than we expect, sometimes we give up hope.
God tells us in His Word it is expected that we should wait for things to happen, and when we do we can expect to be renewed in our spirit and in hope.
A child waits and waits for a new bike. When the bike finally arrives, he/she is delighted and overjoyed that the expected end has manifested. (Proverbs 13:12)
Whatever it is you've asked God for, wait and believe for the expected outcome. When it comes to pass, remember that God said it would come, and it would renew you. Give Him the glory.

A Good Word
Scripture Reading: Proverbs 12:25 (NLT)
"Worry weighs a person down, but an encouraging word cheers a person up."
Working with special needs children I've often gone to work feeling tired and worn out even before I've started my actual teaching day. It seems my body needed more rest than it got and so it would affect my emotions. That's normal for most.
However, knowing the background of each child would help me to get my attitude in check or "right" before they entered the classroom. Children are more in tune with feelings and life than we give them credit. They pick up on your feelings and take things to heart. Knowing this, they would often try to encourage the staff with a kind word, and became the "adult" in caring.
A kind word goes a long way. Try practicing Proverbs 11:25 & 12:25 each day and see how a good word makes you feel.
Week 4 January 22nd-31st

22) Luke 17; Gen. 29; Psalm 2223) Gen. 30-31; Ps. 23
24) Luke 18; Psalm 24
25) Luke 19; Gen. 32; Ps. 25
26) Gen. 33-34; Psalm 26
27) Luke 20; Psalm 27
28) Gen. 35-37; Psalm 28
