God Gave Us All A Measure Of Faith -- "according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." Ro. 12:3
Even if you have the faith as small as a mustard seed you can move mountains. Nothing shall be impossible to you -- "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13
If you just believe in God our Father and his son Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour you can have faith enough to do anything.
Faith In The Face Of Fire
"There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.Daniel 3:12-24
"Faith is the Victory" Congregational Baptist Sing
Lyrics:
Encamped along the hills of light,
Ye Christian soldiers, rise.
And press the battle ere the night
Shall veil the glowing skies.
Against the foe in vales below
Let all our strength be hurled.
Faith is the victory, we know,
That overcomes the world.
Refrain
Faith is the victory! Faith is the victory!
O glorious victory, that overcomes the world.
His banner over us is love,
Our sword the Word of God.
We tread the road the saints above
With shouts of triumph trod.
By faith, they like a whirlwind's breath,
Swept on o'er every field.
The faith by which they conquered death
Is still our shining shield.
Refrain
On every hand the foe we find
Drawn up in dread array.
Let tents of ease be left behind,
And onward to the fray.
Salvation's helmet on each head,
With truth all girt about,
The earth shall tremble 'neath our tread,
And echo with our shout.
Refrain
To him that overcomes the foe,
White raiment shall be giv'n.
Before the angels he shall know
His name confessed in Heav'n.
Then onward from the hill of light,
Our hearts with love aflame,
We'll vanquish all the hosts of night,
In Jesus' conqu'ring Name.
Refrain
So What Happend?!
No! Wait a minute. This is a lens of faith and praise to God. So what really happened?
Lets read about it from the Bible:
"Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon." Daniel 3:24-30

- I had been praying for about a year that someone would get a better job. They finally got a second interview for a good full time job, but they were sure that they didn't get, because they over heard the interviewer say, "Randy said he wouldn't hire him back". (name of an old boss).
He kept saying he wouldn't get the job, because of what Randy said. I said I will not stop believing, and spoke to those to fall to the ground and bear no fruit. Then, I said Father, make them give J this job. - To make a long story short, they give him the job on a probational 3 month period.
Later I got to thinking, wondering if it was witchcraft to say, "make them give J the job." Then, I heard the spoken word, "I make you sit down together." - My faith was charged, and I kept the faith until the job was given. This job is going to turn someone's life around for good.
Thank you for sharing your faith, I'm charged right now. God bless you.

Yet Another Story Of Faith And Courage In The Face Of Danger
This is a pretty familer story of Daniel and the den of lions
4Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
5Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
6Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
7All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
8Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
9Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
10Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
11Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
12Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
13Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.
14Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
15Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
16Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
17And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
18Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
19Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

"Great is Thy faithfulness," Lord, unto me!

So What Happen To Daniel In The Den Of Lions?
Okay, since you already probably know or at least figure it out here it is...
21Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.
22My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
23Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
24And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
25Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
26I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
27He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

Faith + Works DOES NOT Equal Salvation!!!
"My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that lov
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
Another very familiar verse in the Bible is, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Look at all these verses John in chapter 3 has to say about salvation:
"That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:15, 16, 36
More verses that proof the point of salvation by faith through Grace:
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin." Romans 3:20
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:8-10
"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." Galations 2:16

Faith In The Saviour Even When He Does Not Answer
Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit Matthew writes about Jesus not answering this women who comes to Him for help. I am sure how furious some would get of this bot someone asking and not getting an answer along with the ones reading of this scripture. Thay may have missed the point in this account. I think I missed this account when I read through the entire Bible before. However I didn't get mad at Jesus not answering. I totally missed this part altogether. My Pastor pointed this historical account to me one morning in church. As I was writing and putting together this devotional I remembered this and wanted to share it.
In fact these passages even seem to say Jesus is calling her a dog and furthermore even saying He isn't hear to help the gentiles but the Jews only. However I do not believe in either.
If you read verse 28 it says "O woman, great is thy faith" Jesus was trying her faith. Ofcourse He knew her faith to begin with. I believe He was teaching here. He tought these two points:
You should have faith in God even when He does not answer your prayers. Everything He does He does on His time. For one we must be taught patience. The topic of patience is a broad one in many parts of the Bible (see Galations 5 for example). If God gave us everything we want when we wanted it then we will only be futher spoiled.
The next point is no matter what we see God doing, it is right for Him to do. He has His reasons for everything. If God even did one thing wrong how could we have faith in anything we know of God?
How great her faith must have been when first Jesus did not answer then when she was being called a dog. I never seen a women take being called a dog even though I have never done so myself. And who even likes being ignored especially by our Lord and Saviour. But be patience. Always remember our faith and patience must be tested, molded and shaped in the way it needs to be.
In Conclusion (salvatgion through faith by grace)
An example of an historical account of one being saved through faith and not of faith and works is the historical account of Jesus crucifixion in the book of Luke. Jesus was in the middle of two others who also being crucified. One on the left was a murder. The man on the right was that of a thief. The thief on the right said something to the effect of 'you must be the Christ' and Jesus told him today you will be with me in paradise. Only cause the thief had faith in who Jesus is that he was saved from the wrath of God. He was not able to be justified by faith and by works. He had already ruined his works by being a thief and the Romans would not let him down to show good works lest they be crucified in his place.
To read this historical account for youself just look up Luke chapter 23.
Do not be deceived by one verse alone. You have to properly interpret the verses and compare other verses on the same subject to come up with the proper doctrine. There is a lot to be said about the doctrine of salvation. I am in Bible school. One class I have is Theology. I know coming up next year I believe I will be studying this doctrine in great detail. I suggest you do your own study with the inspiration of the holy spirit to find out what you should believe about salvation. I believe it to be time well spent. This is one of thoe most important subjects in the word of God since it means where you will be spending eternal life. I pray you are saved through faith by grace and you will take this journey and teach others to do the same so they too can decide where they will spend their eternity.
Faith And Works Debate!
Let's hear your side. I want to see your thoughts along with biblical verses that backup what you believe about salvation.
What is your side of this debate? Please pick one and give scripture (along with the verse reference for others to lookup for themselves).

Salvation though faith by grace!
No, I believe this...
So What Does James Teach In Chapter Two?
I believe this chapter talks about how important it is to have faith and works but does not talk about you must be saved by faith and works. This chapter talks about shwing how much you have faith and how much faith is made alive by works.
Abraham showed how much faith he had in God when God called him to take his son up into the mountain and offer his only son as a sacrifice. Up to the very point where Abraham was going to slew his son the angel of the LORD did stop him from slewing his son.
I had a friend once asked me the whole point in this story. One I believe it is to show how much Abraham had faith in God. Two showing humble service for our Lord, and 3 shows us the LORD is not willing to let us sacrifice our son but to sacrifice His only begotten son.
When Jesus died on the cross and arrose again the 3rd day He showed us to be alive in the faith. In Romans 12:1it says,
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." See that living sacrifice. We are not to be dead in our faith. We are not to be pew sitters coming to worship on Sunday morning.
Faith plus works is very important it shows our testimoney in faith. However we our saved from the movmen we have faith in Jesus Christ.
Moses, God says "who is faithful in all my house"
"My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house." Numbers 12:7
(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out. And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house." Numbers 12:1-7
Some may conclude that verse seven shows God says that Moses is not faithful. However He is just rebuking Aaron and Mariams sayins about Moses "My servent is not so" notice the comma after this part of the verse. God is saying Moses is His His servent and most faithful in all His house.
Wow, the most faithful in all Gods house. Since God is outside of time I believe He is talking in all of time, all before Moses, and all after Moses. Although Moses is a sinner and has the same sinning nature and flesh as do all of man since the sin of Adam and Eve till the end of time, Moses is also saved by grace through faith. Moses has a cloak, a robe of righteousnes from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Everyone who is saved by grace though faith too can have this same cloak and robe.
The Bible says we are joint heirs of Jesus Christ. I believe in Him we can be seen just as faithful as Jesus Christ just because we believe in Him. Our sins, our unfaithfulness is cloaked because the finished work of Calvary. Outside of Christ we cannot be faithful. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" We all have sinned and we all have come short of the glory of God, all our own works our unfaithful even just as we sinned the firsttime shows we are unfaithful. We ourselves cannot be faithful. But when hidden in Christ Jesus who is faithful we are seen as faithful servants of Jesus Christ.
Now lets look at the rest of this historical account:
"With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned. Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb. And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee. And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again. And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again. And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran." Numbers 12:8-16
The whole of this is to see the man of God which here is Moses is faithful even when his patience is tested by his own family. Our families continue to only see our faults even when God says we are faithful. Even when Gods word says we are faithful. Don't give up on your family. Even if you have to eventually leave you family cause they are pulling you down. Continue to pray for them everyday. I have know preachers to leave their family cause they ruefuse not to pull him down. We cannot allow ourselves to be pulled down by worldy people or we will be unprofitable and unfruitful for God.

A Promise Of Promises
"Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations" Deuteronomy 7:9
This is a great promise from our LORD that He is God and that He is faithful to keep all promises to the ones that love Him and keep His commandments.
There are over 600 promises in the Bible and this is one of them. The promise of promises. A promise of God the faithful. If you love Him as he commanded we love Him and we keep His commandments He will be faithful to you.
Love Him, keep His commandments and see just how faithful He is!
Walk By Faith By Jeremy On YouTube
As I grow as a Christian, I feel I am getting further and further away from this style of music. I love gospel music and I think Jeremy Camp is a great singer and has good messages in his songs but I feel this sound of music is too 'worldly sounding'. Not to say its wrong or its a sin to listen to this music. I would like every Christian to get with the Holy Spirit and find their own convictions when it comes to music.
There are more songs that I feel are even worse when it comes to the 'worldy sounds' but my spirit just feels 'icky' with this style of music. Again its not the singer or the message. I pray you will find your own convictions with the Holy Spirit when it comes to music.
So why display it here at all you ask? Well for one it goes along with the testimonial video above. Two, as I said above I pray everyone find their own convicitons when it comes to music. I more wouldn't be displaying content on this lens if the message is bad even if its related to any of the content on the page.
Gods Judgement Against The Unfaithful
"And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith." Deuteronomy 32:20
Then there is the lesser yet still known account of Sodom and Gamerrah the two cities well there was more of them then the two that God rained down fire and brimstone and killed everyone except for the one family He warned and let loose from the city.
In Exodus God sends His wrath on King Pharaoh and the Egyptians for not letting go His people the Isrealites. In Deuteronomy 28 we see an "if then" princepal that if we do this God will then do this. But If we don't do this then God will do this. Do you really think God would lie and not keep His promises? Thats what the Isrealites thought and continued to disobey and God allowed them to go into captivity for almost 70 years.
Then in Revelations we see Gods full wrath poured out on several judgements upon all of the Earth. Up untill this point no man has seen Gods full wrath as he will see in Revelations in the tribulation period.
So this judgement is what God is speaking about here. He has turned away from His people. He is still has His head turned away from them until they finish the 70 year judgement in captivity, which is the seven years of tribulation man will face. There He will finally deal with His people in Isreal. This does not mean He does not take care of them. He still saves them and takes care of them. He just doesn't deal with them as a nation. Right now He is dealing with the church and the unsaved gentiles. This started with the birth of Jesus Christ which was "pause" near the end of the 70 year captivity of the Isrealites. All this will be brung together near the end of the tribulation period. First God will take up the church which is all saved in Jesus Christ then He will finish His judgement on the unsaved and finish dealing with the Jews all at once.
Learning to have faith is knowing what God has done in the past and knowing He will keep doing it in the future. Most say faith is that which is unseen but faith is seeing Gods faithfulness in the past and allowing Him to show you how to have the faith and have faithfulness in the present and in the future
“”
A Great Reward Of Faith
"O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD."
God is faithful with all His promises and He will reward you for your faith, courage, hope, and love for Him. He will strengthen your heart so be of good courage step out there on faith of what He has done for you and He will reward you! If you don't you will never know...
