Designer Handbags: REAL or Fake?

Some things to look for to make sure a bag is REAL 

Check the tags!

• Juicy Couture has a pink tag sewn into the seam inside the bag. This tag will have Juicy Couture in large type on the front. Underneath it will say Have a Juicy Day Love G&P. Sometimes there is a white sticker inside the pink tag. (But often times it falls off)
• Dooney and Bourke has a red, white and blue tag sewn inside the bag somewhere ALWAYS. Sometimes you really have to look hard to find the tag. In the shoulder hobo bags you have to look underneath the leather where the shoulder strap meets the body of the bag. The older tags can say DOONEY AND BOURKE INC Made in the USA in blue ink and the square around the lettering will be in red. Some newer tags just say Dooney & Bourke, INC. There will also be a serial number on the back of the tag.
• Louis Vuitton does not attach tags to their bags with plastic fasteners. The price tag is usually removed by the sales associate and tucked in a pocket of the bag. Also Louis Vuitton bags NEVER go on sale.
• Authenticating kate spade bags need a very fine eye. Key things to look for on a kate spade label are the font style and size. Too much or too narrow spacing between letters or words can be a red flag. Is the label sewn on or is it glued on? Some of the older bags have a tag inside the zippered pocket inside the bag that looks similar to a American flag. (it's red, white and blue)
