What is Falesti?

My name is Chris and I am volunteering with www.teech.org a UK based charity who have made the village school and orphanage our project for 2009.

This blog is about things I have found out before, during and after my visit.

Why am I going?

Its not something you do every day?

I am the website administrator for www.teech.org since August 08 and have been updating it with what TEECH have been upto. It has now reached the point where I should really attend at least one of the projects so I have an idea of what I am talking about.

I am quite looking forward to helping with the repair works and seeing the end results with the knowledge that I am making a difference.

Panic!!!! I know nothing about Falesti!

But I now know this....

So far I have spent a lot of time browsing the internet trying to find as much information about Falesti as I can. So far its very little apart from a few other companies/charities who have delievered aid there.
I had to broaden my search to Chisinau, the capital of Moldova and here I made found www.marisha.net holding lots of information on the Region. Marisha is one of the contributors to the site and kindly agreed to add www.teech.org and a few words to help promote the charity (never miss a moment to advertise :O)
Marisha is a Moldovian/English translater and guide for businesses and also spends time renting accommodation in Chisinau and Transdniestr

What is www.TEECH.org

TEECH = Telecoms Eastern European Challenge. A UK based charity helping to raise the standards of hospitals, schools, orphanages in some of the poorest parts of Eastern Europe
