Fall Wedding Centerpieces and Favors

Fall is a gorgeous time of year, especially for a wedding! Two of the main components of wedding decor are Fall centerpieces and guest favors. Country weddings or tradition autumn weddings are both good choices to embrace during the Fall season.

The Autumn bride has a lot of choices when it comes to decor, themed centerpieces and color schemes. Shades of gold, chocolates, winter whites, reds/burgundys, navy blue and oranges are just a few of the colors people associate with Fall. Most brides incorporate a lot, if not all and more, of these colors. Between florals, greenery and candles, Fall is full of possibilities. Let's have some fun exploring some ideas to incorporate into a Fall wedding.

"Fall in Love" Wedding Favors

Play on Words

"Fall" is a word with more than one meaning. To the Fall bride, that means a play on words is possible and very acceptable at a wedding where emotions are running high anyway. Below are some favor ideas using the "Fall" word play.

Spring and Summer - A time for New Beginnings!

ShirleySunshine says:

It has to be Spring and Summer for me, but Fall is special too, I'm not a fan of winter, but here is South East England, it isn't that long, fall ends late October and the first signs of Spring arrive in February.

ohcaroline says:

Actually my two favorites are spring and fall. I know, I had to be different here.

jctatum says:

Spring and Summer! Actually, I like every season except winter. I love the sun, water and outdoor activities. If you get hot you just jump in the pool, lake or a river and have fun while you cool down! In the winter your skin is dry and cracks, it rains too much and once you get cold it takes FOREVER to warm back up.

nyfamily5 says:

Spring - i get to plant my flowers, Summer lazy days.

Fall and Winter - Warm fires, family and friends!

SereneSea says:

Though I love all the seasons, I must say I am biased towards "Fall and Winter". I love warm bonfires, vacations, family and get-togathers.

dustytoes says:

Fall and winter bring more peaceful days with more opportunity to enjoy the outdoors without bugs! I also think the scenery is much more beautiful with foliage and snow.

Susan52 says:

I agree with Claudia below. Fall and spring, the transition seasons, are my favorite times of year. Watching nature change is totally fascinating.

Kimbesa says:

I have to say fall and winter... More traditional time for entertaining at our place.

happynutritionist says:

I like one from each side...Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons. So many changes take place in those seasons, fall colors, leaves falling, spring blooms, the return of green...summer and winter are often too hot or too cold, and stay pretty much the same.

Place Card Holders

Favors - Place Card - Table Number/Name Holders

Place card holders double as favors. They are perfect for your guest to take home and display a favorite photograph, postcard, greeting card or even to use as a note holder. Something useful (or edible) is always the best choice for a guest favor.

Fall Themed Centerpieces

Ideas and Suggestions

There are a host of different directions you can follow when choosing your Fall wedding centerpiece. Pick one and stick with it. It can be confusing and the decor seem thrown together to the guests if you jump around too much. Below are suggestions for a "Harvest" and a more "Traditional" themed weddings.

A casual Fall theme could include more "Harvest" or country type decor including: farms, barns, hay bales, pumpkins, gourds, preserves, corn stalks, raffia, apple cider, sunflowers, lanterns and wild flowers and of course, leaves.

A traditional Fall theme might include: mums, leaves, grapes, grapevine, berries, jewel tones, velvet, candles, hurricane globes, roses in deep autumnal colors and cornucopias.

Mix 'em up!

Remember, at your wedding don't make it a "Sea of Sameness". Mix it up a little. Use more than one type/style of centerpiece. Mix candles and leaves and vases and greenery/florals to make your own unique centerpiece.
