New Hampshire White Mountain Fall Foliage View Photo
A rainbow of beautiful colors on this New Hampshire photographic print

Fall Foliage in New Hampshire's White Mountains Photographic Print
The mountains of New Hampshire have incredible views during all seasons, but are most famous for their bright yellows, reds, and oranges during peak fall foliage season. Roads weave between mountains, and sometimes ascend to greater elevations to have magnificent views of the surrounding valleys and mountaintops. The White Mountains are seen here with a base of the mountain level perspective looking up, allowing a broad, panoramic viewing of several layers of foliage.

Right: Fall Foliage, Vermont, USA Photographic Print
This rustic photo print affords a beautiful view of the green pastures and old red barns the state is known for. In the distance, you can see several smaller yellow and green trees, while in the foreground, a large tree displaying orange leaf color guards the long dirt driveway to the barn house.

Zinfandel Grapes Napa Fall Foliage Photo Poster
Fall color behind ripe harvest wine grape bunches in California

Right: Zinfandel Grapes on Vine with Gold Fall Foliage, CA Photographic Print
While New England is famous for its bright leaf color on mountains and hillsides, the Napa region and other wine growing regions of Northern California also are alive with color during the peak fall harvest season. Grapes are harvested during the month of October, such as these ripe purple Zinfandel grapes. The grape leaves themselves turn shades of brown, yellow, red and orange, contrasting beautifully with the purple grapes and green hills. The wine growing region is also well known for its harvest celebrations and unveiling of the latest wines during this season.

- At the same time, it is hard to photograph fall foliage because it's so seductive. It takes over. It is hard to penetrate. I didn't want the color to be intrusive. I didn't want the color to be a distraction to what was intrinsic to the picture.

Panoramic Fall Foliage Scene Photo, Baltimore City, Maryland
Red and yellow panorama photo print

Fall Foliage, Guilford, Baltimore City, Maryland, USA Photographic Print
A beautiful v-shaped pattern of yellow and red fall foliage leaves. In the background, bright green leaves give contrast to this maple. Panoramic style would look great over any couch, on long, horizontal walls, and makes a great gift idea.
Abstract Burnt Sienna and Oak Fall Foliage Art Print
A beautiful earth toned art print with a medley of autumn colors

Right: Fall Foliage Abstract Print
This beautiful print exhibits some of the dark, deep earth tones of red and yellow that are displayed during peak leaf color. The abstract nature of this piece makes it the perfect decor for any large space, and will fit in with virtually any style of furniture or other complimentary art pieces.
Fall Leaf Contrast Photograph
A photo of bright orange and red hued autumn leaves, with a blurred green background

Left: Fall Leaf Contrast Photographic Print
This is a great example of a photograph that would work well in many living spaces. The tallness of the piece would make it a great candidate for a slender wall space that is more tall than wide. You may also want to consider hanging this artwork in groups of three. Odd numbers seem to work well with hanging artwork and photos, especially when the pieces are alike in theme, color or size.

New Hampshire Mountain Stream Fall Foliage Print
The beautiful coldwater streams of New Hampshire during the fall season

Right: Stream and Fall Foliage, New Hampshire, USA Photographic Print
When you think of fall foliage, you might automatically think Vermont and New Hampshire. Areas of middle New Hampshire have some of the most impressive fall color in the USA, and this photo is a great example of that. The Kancamagus Highway near Franconia Notch in NH is one of the busiest leaf peeper routes. However, there are many equally impressive and colorful backroads to choose from throughout the state to explore. This particular photo reminds me of the Kancamagus Highway region, where the stream hugs the roadside between the Conway region of New Hampshire to Lincoln, NH.
Fall Foliage Along the Virgin River in Zion National Park
Zion's incredible Virgin River displays beautiful leaf contrast on this poster

Fall Foliage along Virgin River, Zion National Park, Utah, USA Premium Photographic Print
The Virgin River in Zion National Park is home to the famous Narrows section of the river, with a steep incline, and as the name suggests, very narrow canyon walls enclosing the river (sometimes just feet wide, making the hike very difficult). This beautiful section of Zion Canyon shown in this photo is prior to the Narrows section, where the wider river has beautiful trees lining the banks, displaying vibrant fall color and foliage.
White Mountain National Forest New Hampshire Fall Foliage
A photo of brilliant foliage on yellow tree trunks in White Mountain National Forest, NH

Right: Yellow Tree Trunks and Fall Foliage, Kancamagus Highway, White Mountain National Forest Photographic Print
While these were labeled birch trees, I believe they are not. Birch are usually white/natural color, with grey knots. Regardless, this is a beautiful photo of the White Mountain National Forest region. The Kancamagus Highway is a go-to spot for viewing fall foliage during the peak weeks, which often are early to mid October. Here you can see how the color of the tree trunks provide great contrast to the stunning leaf color, even on the ground.
Telluride Colorado Fall Foliage Aspen Trunks Photo
Beautiful yellow leaf color on these tall Aspens

Left: Aspen Trunks and Fall Foliage, Near Telluride, Colorado, United States of America, North America Photographic Print
The northeast isn't the only area of the country that experiences beautiful leaf color! The Colorado region and much of the mountainous, high altitude regions of the southwest like the Rockies experience beautiful leaf change and dramatic colors. While the trees might be different species, the fall color is equally stunning. Here you can see an example of that on these Aspen trunks with bright yellow leaves. This photo would look great framed with a birchwood style frame, or a rustic, natural wood theme frame. Hanging in your office or in a small room would be a perfect fit for this photo.

A poster print of bright fall foliage, contrasted against a dark pond reflection

Left: Fall Foliage with Reflections, New Hampshire, USA Photographic Print
With the falling leaves and shorter days in the fall months, the mountainsides get a little bit darker, and so do the ponds as they bottoms are covered with leaf matter. These leaves will darken the ponds, giving them a greater contrast to the bright oranges, reds, yellows and greens displayed on the trees above.
Katahdin Maine Autumn Pond Reflection Poster
Beautiful fall reflections on this brilliantly colorful poster

Spectacular views like these are a dime a dozen during the peak foliage times in New England. Not to take away from this photo, it's extraordinary, but gorgeous, colorful displays of autumn color are not hard to come by if you're visiting any of the northern states of New England. The prime time to do your leaf peeping usually is between the last week of September and the first two or three weeks of October. Higher elevations peak faster than those closer to sea level. That's why much of Maine peaks after places in Vermont and New Hampshire. Check a foliage map for the most recent peak times and to see what the current progress is.

- I love these vibrant colors, and this is the next best thing to seeing fall colors in person. Even in our area we have a few streets that are lined with ancient maples, and I make a point to drive those routes in the fall. Nice selections ... very inspiring!
