With all that black, one might expect goth makeup to be really hot. Apparently, the reverse is the case. The naturally radiant, born pretty look is back. Except that the prettiness is not due to genes but to cleverly chosen makeup. Take a look at the Autumn/Winter 2007 fashion shows. You would notice the makeup on the models is very natural.


Blush is no longer bronze. Peach cheeks are back. That is a naturally pretty look. As if you have just had a workout. All you need is a peach blush and a large blusher brush. Swirl the brush over the blush, tap off all the excess and go over your cheeks, dust lightly on your forehead, chin and nose as well for an all over pretty glow.

Balance your black wardrobe with pretty color. Gold shadow for sparkly, gorgeous lashes and a coral blush is a wonderful alternative to that all peach look. Still pretty, very radiant and a tad more glamorous.

Another must have for fall is a black liquid eyeliner. Worn in the form of cats eyes. Nothing too exagerrated. You want a slight uptilt that's pretty, but not dumb looking.

Get a liquid eyeliner.
1. Draw a line close to your upper lash line starting from the inner corner.
2. Tilt upwards slightly as you go a quarter of an inch beyond the outer edge of your eye.

Line the lower lash line with a black eye pencil and you're done.

Few women have Angelina Jolie's lips but all women can have pretty lips. Take it from the Hollywood stars during the golden age. From Doris Day to Marilyn Monroe, they wore bright red lipstick.

Corals, peaches and pinks are more natural and more in line with this season's mood, though red lipstick is never completely out. Just go easy on the eye makeup if you want to wear red.

With all that black, you can get away with deep berry lipsticks, brights and reds. Line your lips with a nude lipliner. Then paint on the lipstick with a lip brush.

In fall, get your nails done to go with the stark black clothes. Bright nail polish would liven up your look and add that much needed burst of color when the skies are gray.
