Fallen Earth: A Post-Apocalyptic MMO

In the 21st century, the first in a series of natural disasters hits the United States. An investment tycoon buys a controlling stake in the mega-corporation GlobalTech, and, in 2051, moves his headquarters to the Grand Canyon Province, where GlobalTech creates a self-sufficient military mini-state.

In Pakistan and India, meanwhile, a new virus has broken out and begins to spread. In the paranoia and fear that follows, with accusations that the Shiva virus was engineered, countries resort to nuclear war. Between the virus and the nuclear war, most of Earth's population falls. Less than 1% remains, and the Hoover Dam Garrison and the Grand Canyon Province are the only known outposts.

Outside the Garrison, amid the ruins of the old world, are genetically-altered creatures, strange technology, and six warring factions. The warring factions have diverse motives. Some seek to rebuild the old world, others to create anew, and some thrive on chaos and anarchy.
