Family Wii Games

Mario and his friends are back to race again in Mario Kart Wii! With new tracks, enhanced Wii graphics, and all the fun gameplay of earlier Mario Kart games! Place first in Grand Prix circuits or clear skill-based missions to open up new circuits. Players can have multiplayer races on any open courses or battle in arenas.

Best for kids 5-6+, when they start to get the hang of steering. My younger preschoolers do not play this one - once they're old enough to know which kart is theirs it just frustrates them, making family game time no fun for any of us. But my 9 year old loves racing mom and dad with her special pink Wii Wheel.

Most of the Wii games on this page, my older two play together, on their own, without problem, and have from ages 3 & 7 to 5 & 9 years old.
