It's worth putting some thought into your requirements, rather than just going out and buying the first cheap tent you see.
If you're planning to spend any time camping, you'll want to make sure that you've got a space that you and your family will be comfortable in.
Large Family Tents under $100
There are some really great designs - ideal for families.
I love the way that you can choose from such a range and have designs where the kids are sleeping on the other side of the tent, areas for storage, porches and much more.

Our Favourite Camping Recipes
Keeping food simple is the key to success
We've never been into fancy food when we're away camping.
In fact, we take a little pride in eating simply, yet having delicious local food.
That said, sometimes it's handy to have some tasty food handy as you settle in to the campsite and will create wonderful memories for your children too.
Heat oven to 350F/180C/GM4 Add all ingredients into mixing bowl and mix well. Turn into a greased tin and spread out evenly. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until cooked.
When it comes out of the oven, mix the lemon juice with 175g sugar and spoon over the still-warm cake.
This makes around 16 slices and is delicious. Eat within 24-48 hours (it isn't usually a problem!)
Luxury Family Size Tents for under $500
If camping is likely to be more than a passing phase - and is going to be your way of life for the next few years, you deserve to treat yourself to something a bit more luxurious.

How We Chose Our Tent
When we chose our trusty tent, the internet wasn't as advanced as it is now.
We ended up sending for brochures and pouring through the sizes, designs and prices.
Key things that we were looking for included:-
height - my sons are both over 6 foot tall, and we didn't want to be bending over all the time
space - we didn't want to be cramped if it rained. We wanted enough space for us to sit and play games out of the rain.
storage - we wanted enough space to be able to unload everything from the car into the tent
flexibility - as the family grew up, we wanted something that we wouldn't outgrow and that we could adapt to our needs
We ended up choosing an 8-berth tent with sleeping compartments that could be opened up into one, or used as storage. Our tent also has a massive porch to store cooking equipment, chairs & tables and shoes & boots.

Coming in all different sizes and shapes - there's even tents tall enough for you if you're over six foot !
