What's in it for me?
Mainly biographies!
If you can read Dutch you're halfway there.
If not, stay with me for a moment because I couldn't read it either!!
Most of the 1600-odd biography pages are set out in such a way that people for whom Dutch is 6th or 7th language can still get the general idea. Some knowledge of German helps. You soon work out that "geboren" means "born" (because it's attached to the earliest date on the page!)
There's more than biography. Transcriptions of land records, census records from 1825 and 1848, and a list of mayors, for example. List of streets - and I think there's another map but I haven't found it yet..

Easy as wiki!!
The site uses the same easy software/wiki-markup as some of you have learned for Wikipedia - practically the same as used on ten million Wikipedia articles. The software therefore has had so many thousands of intelligent people working on it that it is very easy to use for ordinary text, images, and lots of clever charts.
So you can contribute by editing nearly every page and creating new pages. Free. Easy.
Link to your Peize relatives' times and places so that you can appreciate how they lived and maybe why they travelled or worked or played the way they did;
Talk to fellow-researchers about the best ways of displaying your data (e.g. tables, trees, lists - not forgetting pictures);
Find where to look for more old records;
And maybe find that someone else has already written something else about your relatives, making it even easier for you to get a complete picture.
Licensing is CC-BY-SA, the same as Wikipedia and most Wikia sites.

- Great lens, but you knew that :) Just wanted to remind you that this is featured on the The Netherlands Headquarters
http://www.squidoo.com/groups/Netherlands
It's now transformed into a lensography and I would love it if you could show your appreciation by featuring it here, or lensrolling it or something.
