The Beatles are British icons. The Beatles were an English rock band from Liverpool. They came on the scene in 1960, and they were one of the most successful bands in history. The beetles were also part of conspiracy theories. One of the most famous conspiracy theories that people perpetrate about the Beatles, is that one of their members died and the government tried to hide his death by replacing him with a look alike. The theory goes that Paul McCartney was killed in a car accident and the British government found a look alike to replace him. Conspiracy theorists believe that this was done, because the British government did not want the band to lose any popularity. The Beatles are still popular today and are often used as a reference to British culture. The Beatles loved fish and chips. They even showed how much love fish and chips in one of their videos. The Beatles are so popular that they share their name with a popular mini car.
Fish and Chips are popular British foods. It was originally a meal for the working class. It is fast and cheap to make. In modern times it can be bought at cheap restaurants and upscale restaurants. People who travel to seaside resorts and do not bring a lunch love to eat this meal.
Robin Hood is another famous British Icon. He is best known for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. He became famous in the medieval period and is still famous in contempary literature and film. There have been several movies made about Robin Hood. He is often shown in movies as a hero to the poor. There are some that say he was always poor and others who say that he used to be rich, but he lost his money, and because of that he started stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Robin Hood was part was a group of outlaws. The other outlaws in his group were known as Merry Men.
The most famous British icons are the royal family. The most commonly known members of the Royal family are The Queen of England, Princess Diana, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry. The Royal family has been in the news a lot since the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The royal family lives in Buckingham Palace. Prince William is the Son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Princess Diana helped the common people a lot in her life. She has been compared to Mother Theresa. Prince Charles is married to the Duchess Camilla. The royal family has been around for many years, and most people who live in England love the Royal Family. It is traditional and most British people love tradition. There is currently not a King of England. Queen Elizabeth is married to Prince Phillip. He is not the King, but he known as the Prince Consort. He is not over Queen Elizabeth. Prince Charles is next in line to the throne to be the next King of England.
The red telephone box is popular in the UK. Even though there are lots of cell phones in the UK some people still go the red telephone box when they need to make a phone call. Red telephone boxes are known as British icons. They are often shown in movies scenes that take place in London. Red telephone boxes are fashionable and many people buy them at auctions.
Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding are traditional British foods. There are lots of famous British icons love roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. It is a traditional food that is served often served at special occasions by British people.
The Bowler Hat was invented in 1849 in London. The hat was very popular during the Victorian era. It was also popular among American cowboys in the west. The bowler hat has been worn by many famous people in movies.
