Who keeps a journal anyway?

Think that journal or diary keeping is a hobby only undertaken by teenage girls venting their angst about their latest love interests?

Not so!

There have been many famous journal keepers throughout history, both real and fictional. Some of these journal keepers have had major impacts on the world that we currently live in.

In modern times the diary or journal still pops up regularly in movies and books, sometimes in the hands of an angst ridden hero and sometimes as an obscure clue in an age old mystery.

Whatever the reason, and whether a fictional character or a influential historical figure, this lens lists a few famous journals and their keepers.

Doogie Howser
