My 5 newest lenses
My latest lenses. There won't be anything new until august 2009 due to the summer holidays. You may also have wonder why I have less lenses than a few months ago. I did delete a bunch of them, and will delete even more later on. Why would i do that you wonder? Well these lenses were pretty incomplete or I lost interest in them. So I replace bad ones with better ones. Once all my mediocre lenses are gone I'll be happy.

Just for the kids and young at heart
A lens for my son!
I did a lens for my son. Just because he is a fan of Toopy and Binoo. I was kinda surprise to see how fast i got traffic to it. I guess he's not alone who likes them!
-
Toopy and Binoo

Toys: safe, non-toxic
No chinese toys here
Let's be honest, I try to buy green for my son. And I avoid at all cost anything made in China. I apply this to toys and clothes. As for food, I try to buy from local producers. Sometimes it's difficult and yes it's more expensive. But I don't see why i should give my money to companies such as Disney and Mattel to have them outsource their production in third world countries where child labor is common practice. These companies don't deserve my money because I want my toys to be made in humane and safe working conditions, without child-labor. Want the latest violations by Disney? Just google "disney working condition in china".

Entertainment: music, TV, movies and books
Saskatchewan, Les Trois Accords
Probably the most unusual song (and video) ever. By French-Canadian group "Les trois Accords". Crazy lyrics about how a cowboy from Saskatchewan lost his wife to a guy from Regina while away in Ontario with his cow herd...Totally crazy and the video has nothing to do with the lyrics of course. But, this is the kind of song you don't need to know french to appreciate!
Saskatchewan,
Tu m'a pris ma femme
Ele m'a crisse la
Pour un gars de Regina
Deux par deux rassembles, Pierre Lapointe
When I feel a little down or sad, this is the song that I listen to!
It's uplifting and good for the mood. This is the live version he did for the New Year eve TV special. Once again, no need to know french to feel better! This is by French Canadian singer Pierre Lapointe.
Music
Discover a new artist
I love music. I have various taste and many of my favorite artists are somewhat little known to the masses. There is very few genre I don't like, besides rap. I like a bit of everything. As for rap, I don't like that and I have problems with the kind of messages it sends. I will never bring a teen to a rap concert, but will bring them anytime to an heavy Metal show. It's not just about the music, it's about everything rappers do and say and the kind of following they have. I know there is good people in rap, but they are too little to change the bad and well deserve reputation of this genre.

Music from artists I like
Books
I used to read a lot, but nowadays I barely find time. I have bought the first book of Stieg Larsson trilogy (the girl with the dragon tatoo) and I plan to read it under the tent in july during the trek in the French Alps my husband planned for us. I did the mistake to buy the first book in english, not having realized that they are years behind in releasing the trilogy. I will read the second and third book in french because i don't want to wait for the english version.
I love graphic novels, and i am very found of many french titles such as the "Adele Blanc-Sec" serie by Tardi, "Asterix" by gossini and uderzo as well as most of Enki Bilal work.

Television: TV shows
I love TV but I admit that I don't currently really follow anything. I zap! When I see something that might be good, I'll check a few episode then wait for the DVD. That way, less disappointment because nothing is worst than following a show only to have it canceled before the end.

Fashion
I'm not a fashion victim, far from it. I don't really see the point in spending big bucks on "brand names" and designers frivolities. I will pay consequent prices on outdoor clothing because I want low weight and performant hiking and rock climbing gear and they can be expensive, but that's a good investment.
I love the occasional nice clothes and will buy classics I can use for years. I will never buy the "latest trend" because It will be "so last year" a month later. I am the pround owner of a classic black robe, 2 John Fluevog pair of boots, a Carla Mancini bag and a few other pieces that won't age badly. Otherwise jeans and vintage t-shirts or a nice shirt will do great!

Rugby
I discovered Rugby because I live in france part time and Rugby is popular here. I prefer Rugby to Football (soccer in North America) just because it's still a family sport and the Rugby matches are not yet invaded by drooling retarded neo-nazi Hooligans as it is the case in European soccer games. And the Rugby players don't earn trillions of dollars per game.
