I live in France

I live in Paris, France. I get used to it, I guess. But I miss home sometimes. Paris is beautiful but stressful, I hate noise and crowds...Paris has both. But it is nice to live here anyway. There is so many beautiful things to see.

Fashion

Shoes, handbags and supermodels

I'm not a fashion victim, far from it. I don't really see the point in spending big bucks on "brand names" and designers frivolities. I will pay consequent prices on outdoor clothing because I want low weight and performant hiking and rock climbing gear and they can be expensive, but that's a good investment.

I love the occasional nice clothes and will buy classics I can use for years. I will never buy the "latest trend" because It will be "so last year" a month later. I am the pround owner of a classic black robe, 2 John Fluevog pair of boots, a Carla Mancini bag and a few other pieces that won't age badly. Otherwise jeans and vintage t-shirts or a nice shirt will do great!

Favorite toys: safe, non-toxic, not made in China

Beautiful eco-friendly toys

Let's be honest, I try to buy green for my son. And I avoid at all cost anything made in China. I apply this to toys and clothes. As for food, I try to buy from local producers. Sometimes it's difficult and yes it's more expensive. But I don't see why I should give my money to companies such as Disney and Mattel to have them outsource their production in third world countries where child labor is common practice. These companies don't deserve my money because I want my toys to be made in humane and safe working conditions, without child-labor. I also want my toys to be eco-friendly, something that is not found in China-made toys.

Food and recipes pages

I used to read a lot, but nowadays I barely find time. I love graphic novels, and I am very found of many french titles such as the "Adele Blanc-Sec" serie by Tardi, "Asterix" by Gossini and Uderzo as well as most of Enki Bilal work.
A good whodunit is always welcome as well!

Great music, singers and groups I love

Discover new artists

I bet that there is at least 4 or 5 artists listed below you have never heard of! Well what are you waiting for to discover them??

I love music. I have various taste and many of my favorite artists are somewhat little known to the masses. There is very few genre I don't like, besides rap. I like a bit of everything. As for rap, I don't like that and I have problems with the kind of messages it sends. I would never bring teens to a rap concert, but will bring them anytime to an heavy Metal show. It's not just about the music, it's about everything rappers do and say and the kind of following they have. I know there is good people in rap, but they are too little to change the bad reputation of this genre.

Movies and Television

Actors, actresses, TV and movie memorabilia

I love TV but I admit that I don't currently really follow anything. I zap! When I see something that might be good, I'll check a few episode then wait for the DVD. That way, less disappointment because nothing is worst than following a show only to have it canceled before the end.

Sports pages: Rugby, Tennis, Football, NASCAR

Rugby

I discovered Rugby because I live in france part time and Rugby is popular here. I prefer Rugby to Football (soccer in North America) just because it's still a family sport and the Rugby matches are not yet invaded by drooling retarded neo-nazi Hooligans as it is the case in European soccer games. And the Rugby players don't earn trillions of dollars per game.

    Hi Fanfreluche!

Been a while since I dropped by & gravitated here. :O)

I had a couple of little stamp collecting booklets, as a child, about the space race. (Funny, as I'm planning out a screenplay in which Apollo has great relevance.)

Stamp collecting is more of an idle wish & curiosity for me than anything. But, I like getting a behind-the-scenes look at how it works. & the French stamps are really interesting.

Keep up your wonderful lens-crafting! :D

    Sunshine & Blessings,
    Giovani

The lens I bought

Some lensmasters at one point or the other and for various reasons, sell their lenses. Over the years I have bought lenses to add to my "portfolio". I buy lenses only on topic I am familiar with so I can modify and adapt them to my liking. Most of them have been a great investment and the price I paid have been covered by the affiliate revenues they made over time.

I don't know if any lensmaster have done it before. Some don't like that people know they buy lenses. But here I go: I am sharing those "bought lenses" with you.
