- If you're after an epic adventure fantasy story with humour so dark it scares shadows try Dark Waters.
Egan Wey is a pirate, a scoundrel and the luckiest son of a... female canine that ever braved the ocean. A scarred past forces his mouth to the bottle and he is drawn to trouble like... well like he is drawn to the bottle. He does bad things for men who would rather not get their hands dirty, but one fateful night, in the corner of a lowlife's tavern he is offered a job by Finn Fernwick, a young priest, that will not only challenge his skills but stretch his sanity to breaking point.
What begins as a fairytale rescue quickly decays into a nightmare of epic proportion as Wey and Finn combat zombies, privateers and a psychotic, despot prince. Can two men really save the world from drowning around them? Or will they drag every sorry excuse for a scallywag into the depths with them?
Dark Waters is available from Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dark-Waters-ebook/dp/B005CAV53Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314878937&sr=8-1
but is available for download for a limited period for free: http://l-e-fitzpatrick.blogspot.com/p/dark-waters-blurb.html
Feedback is implored.

- My lighthearted, contemporary fantasy, "Just Another Day in Suburbia" is available for $3.99 on Kindle, Nook, XinXii, and Smashwords.
Here's a short blurb:
Things haven’t been the same since Masaman the Troll bought the old fixer-upper on Oak Tree Lane — and how could they be? He’s got a Zombie overseeing renovations, a Dwarf and a Goblin join him (and the Zombie) for their weekly Poker Night, and there’s at least one person who wants them all to go back to living under a bridge somewhere.
Kindle: http://tinyurl.com/suburbia-on-kindle
Nook: http://tinyurl.com/suburbia-on-nook
XinXii: http://tinyurl.com/suburbia-on-xinxii
Smashwords: http://tinyurl.com/suburbia-on-smashwords
I hope you enjoy the read!

- First of all, I have to admire my security word to post here, which is "geekskip" (if I'm reading it correctly).
Anyway my own new epic fantasy novel is The Pennants of Larkhall. $3.50, so it's on topic here! On Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Pennants-of-Larkhall-ebook/dp/B004HO5JYM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2&s=books&qid=1293996406&sr=8-1
And an excerpt:
http://timcrairebooks.wordpress.com/
Prince Harlan ascends the throne of Larkhall when his father is killed beside him on the battlefield. His army loses that battle and meanwhile a blight is eating away at his kingdom, literally turning farms to dust; even if his people turn back the invasion, they may starve.
Legends contend that the monarch of Larkhall may be able to stop the blight by descending into a tunnel complex in a crater. Should Harlan ignore the invasion and undertake this quest, or ignore the blight and defend a kingdom of dust? He has help from his capable sister Calandra, his mother Rowena, and his weather-changing great uncle Orovein.
Thanks and happy 2011!

- These sound like interesting fantasy books! And since they're so inexpensive, I could sample them to see if I liked them or not, and not worry about wasting my money.
A year or so ago I downloaded a free fantasy book on my Kindle (Assassin's Apprentice), and I loved it. I was hooked on the characters, so I ended up buying the other two in the trilogy. That's great marketing :-) Offer the first free or for low cost, and if we love the author, we'll be willing to spend money to get more books.
