    A name often attract the attention of watchers or viewers. A good name can get the crowd's favor and cheers. A name that can be used could be the place, a sound or things used in the game or historical.

    Using Players names creatively is fun. I have seen my team names posted all over the place. A few favorites off the top of my head: -Silicone Breastons- (Steve Breaston KC WR)

    One of the owners in my league is an avid fisherman who loves to spearfish and catch hogfish. His team name is the Healthy Hogs.

    A lot of HS teams have very funny / bizarre names and You can search for those. This year I chose the Smackover Buckaroos from Smackover, AR. Other good ones are the Melby Buffs (where Donald Driver went to HS) and the Watersmeet Nimrods from Watersmeet, MI. There are lot of them out there to choose from.

    Fun and relevant for those of us getting ready for the upcoming fantasy football season. For more funny and generally off color team names check out the Over The Line site. Over The Line is a sport played almost exclusively on the beach in San Diego and if you scroll down to the past winners sections you will get some idea of the type of team names I'm talking about. Without question the funniest, most clever, and raunchiest names are from the women's teams. I won't give any examples here because I'm new and don't want to be banned from the site on my first day.     I use "Off in the Woods". Sounds stupid, but when my team loses and they publish the results it reads: "(Winning Team Name) beats "Off in the Woods".

    Very creative! I have a lens in progress on Rollerderby, they not only have great team names, each player makes up their own name. My featured player is "Deviled Legs"! I will let you know when it is done, I think you'll like it.

    If I would have given the oppurtunity to select a teams name, I would say the best, easy and a unique name would "2 hot 2 handle". I guess that would really create a fantasy between teams when the compet with each other.
