Fantomas mp3 Amenazo Al Mundo!

Fantomas music really threatens the World!! )) The first time I got an album from my friend and listened to the very first song I though it was something to drive me crazy!

The most essentric avant-garde heavy metal band is on stage!
Look through this lens, get some Fantomas mp3 music and be sure it's them!

First of all - who are THEY?

Let us take a closer look on faces behind the mask!

1. Mike Patton (vocals, sampling)
2. Buzz Osborne (guitar)
3. Trevor Dunn (bass)
4. Dave Lombardo (drums)

Mike Patton - the guy who is responsible for the whole stuff! He created the band just before he stopped working with his earlier project - Faith No More. Mike wanted to have guitarist Buzz Osborne (The Melvins), bassist Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle - high school band) and drummer Igor Cavalera (Sepultura) in his band. Cavalera declined the offer, but advised Patton to invite Dave Lombardo from Slayer instead of himself. Lombardo was the last one to join the whole mess!

Second - what a they DOING?

What is the style of Fantomas?

The music they play is strongly related to heavy-metal, but actually the band expresses itself in variety of different genres. Some of the songs sound like those of expiremental noise bands, while others tend to be more psychedelic and even melodical. As for vocals.. let's skip it) One thing is for sure - they sound like no one else!

And finally - where to get all that stuff???

You can find all their albums I am writing about here:

Fantomas Discography

Here is the up to date and complete discography of the band. However, I doubt that in the web it is possible to find all of Fantomas mp3s. For example - the split "Animali In Calore Surriscaldati Con Ipertermia Genitale/Cat in Red" is probably out of print.

1. "Fantômas" April 1999
2. "The Director's Cut" July 2001
3. "Millennium Monsterwork" April 2002
4. "Delìrium Còrdia" January 2004
5. "Suspended Animation" June 2005

6. Animali In Calore Surriscaldati Con Ipertermia Genitale/Cat in Red (Split 5" Vinyl / 3" CD with Melt-Banana) August 2005

Fantomas (1999)

Track list:

Pages from 1 to 30.

This very album was based on sci-fi comic books, so every song is titled as a page number. The artwork of the book is that of "Diabolik" - Italian comic series (see below).

The album officially titled as "Fantomas", though many refer to it as Amenaza Al Mundo - Spanish title of the French movie "Fantômas se déchaîne" (Fantomas threatens the World).

Who is Diabolik?

Diabolik (on the picture) is a fictional character, a villain and anti-hero as shown in comics made by Angela and Luciana Giussani in 1962. Several characters from French and Italian pulp fiction, primarily Fantômas, inspired sisters to create Diabolik.

Diabolik is a unique and talented thief that has knowledge in fields of computing, chemistry and mechanics. Usually he steals from criminals alike, but not always. He is aided by Eva (on the picture) - his partner on the slippery road of robbery and murder. Diabolik uses knifes and a dart gun. He drives only a black 1961 Jaguar E-type.

The Director's Cut (2001)

1. The Godfather

11. Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
12. Vendetta
13. Untitled
14. Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion
15. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
16. Charade

All of the songs are versions of popular movie themes. Although sometimes it is difficult to recognize one in such a frivolous arrangement!!

Millenuim Monsterwork 2000 (2002)

Tracklist:

1. Good Morning Slaves ("Page 27", Patton)
2. Night Goat (Melvins)
3. The Omen (Ave Satani) (Jerry Goldsmith)

13. The Turkey Doctor ("Page 10", Patton)
14. Hooch (Melvins)
15. Mombius Hibachi (Melvins)
16. Liquorton Gooksburg" ("Page 23", Patton)
17. Skin Horse (Osborne)
18. Cape Fear (Bernard Herrmann)

It is a live album by Fantômas and The Melvins which was released in 2002. It was recorded live at "Slim's", San Francisco, California December 31, 2000.

Delìrium Còrdia (2004)

Tracklist:

1. Surgical Sound Specimens from the Museum of Skin

Well.. This album can probably be described as the track to a scary movie or concept-art album which main theme is a surgery without anesthesia.

It has only one track (74:17) and several genres and styles can be heard during listening to it, being separated only by ambience, sounds and voices in a surgical setting. No vocals are present, at least, in traditional meaning of the word. One can only hear some eerie-like noise and vocals without words, that are however used by the band to create some certain effect.

Suspended Animation (2005)

Tracklist:

Days of April 2005 from 1st to 30th.

Another concept album of Fantomas featuring cartoon-like sounds and mucis as well as being a tribute to the month of April.

Animali In Calore Surriscaldati Con Ipertermia Genitale/Cat in Red (2005)

Tracklist:

1. Animali In Calore Surriscaldati Con Ipertermia Genitale
2. Cat in Red

Split album recorded by Fantômas and Melt-Banana released in 2005.

The Fantomas track is taken from the recording sessions of two of their previous releases ("Suspended Animation" and "Delìrium Còrdia"). The title can be translated as "Animals In Heat Being Overheated By Genital Hypo-thermia."

Hey, dudes.. %)

Sorry for inconvinience, but the author of this lens gone insane after intensive listening to Fantomas mp3. Your condolence will be send to the family. Thank you!

If you like music, I recommend ligamusic.com.
As a music fan for all my life, and a shameless downloader,
I have found, in covering music for newspapers and online sites,
that you can always see talent in an artist from the beginning.
People like Madonna, Metallica, and hundreds of artists have incredible talent
which should be respected. Well, you can find over a hundred thousand talented
artists on ligamusic.com , a site which has over 2 millions tracks available
from way back in 1950 to today.
For example, do you like Madonna? You can download MADONNA here for just 0.15$.
That is a fine example of ligamusic. You can get all kinds of rare music too,
from rare CDs and vinyls to the more modern artists like Beyonce,
U2, 50 Cent, and a number of other talents. The site is a useful
way for finding the coolest kinds of music. With all this,
ligamusic may find itself becoming one of the best places
    online to find quality music.
