Although I wasn't a fan early on, I was eventually won over by the strong woman I realized she was. Since she was a little girl, everyone fawned over her obvious beauty, much to her embarrassment. Shy and determined, she later quit college to head for Hollywood. Her fans are glad she did.
The famous red swimsuit poster (image seen here) became so popular - it outsold Betty Grable's famous swimsuit pin-up and those of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders!

As a teenager in the seventies, Farrah was one of my first role models. She was beautiful in an unconventional way. Although I looked far different than the blonde suntanned beauty, I began to believe in the idea of beauty through individuality. Later role models included Georgia O'keefe and Ina Garten. Hoping I will be a role model too. Farrah is forever. I miss her.
