Do you like to feel and look good in the clothes you wear? This lens will help you in better understanding on women's fashion and teach you how to put together a wardrobe that works within you budget.
KNOW YOUR PERSONAL STYLE

There are three reasons why women look less than their best. It is due to not having enough money, there's not enough time and last they really don't know how.
Although, the upside to all this is with a little know-how you can look your very best even in a hurry and being on a budget.
The first step of the "know-how" is for you to know all about yourself by the adventure of analyzing yourself.
Have you ever worn an outfit that, every time you wore it, gave you the great feeling of this is you?
If you know which one of the personal styles you are then you will avoid expensive buying mistakes. You also won't have to work hard at getting the right look for you or buy on impulse.
KNOW YOUR BODY TYPE

Your body type has 3 characteristics: size(height and width), shape(silhouette), proportion(length of your body sections).
Here's the steps to know your body type:
- Tape two 6' lengths of 1" squared graph paper on a wall with bottom edges cut even with a carpeted floor.
- Tie a cord around your waist and put on a necklace to find the base of your neck and tie a cord around your waist.
- Make your figure graph, by marking a lengthwise centerline on one paper. Then stand in your normal posture with your back against the graph and your body centered on the centerline.
- Have someone plot your body points. Keep a pencil close to your body and perpendicular to the wall.
- For a diagram of your body type, have your outline carefully traced on the paper then draw a horizontal line across the top of your head.
- Take the paper off the wall and fold it in half, half again, and again creasing it into 1/8's. (For the first fold, line up the top of head with bottom of feet.) You have now divided your body into 8 sections.
KNOW YOUR COLOR TYPE

Wear the right color type and your personal coloring will come alive. Your eyes will be bright and your skin will glow. If you wear the wrong colors they can make you look drained and old.
The average American woman has a minimum investment of $2,000 worth of clothing in their closet. If you have a couple of outfits that have never been worn in your closet then that can be a costly mistake.
If you know your color type it can reduce your impulse buying and bad choices based on personal reactions to color.

Great Wardrobe Extenders: Accessories
SHOESComfort is a must. Leather is the best investment for comfort and durability. You should consider the cost of better leather goods.
Look at a 1 1/2"-2" heel. It is most flattering to the legs. Wear a minimum of a 1" heel if you are heavy, short, or have short legs.
Try to avoid wearing a T-strap shoe if you have thick ankles.
The lower the top of the shoe and the more instep that shows the longer your legs will look. The more the foot that shows the less business-like the shoe is. Pumps with open toes or a sling back might be more comfortable. Closed toe with a sling back is more appropriate in professional business.
BELTSThey are a minor investment and get big results to you look. They are not that expensive and they can change shape or proportion of your look.
Here are some belt basics:
Buy leather belts that are ¾ to 1 1/4" in a variety of colors. Also, buy belts that blend in with the color of your clothes. They will be less distracting and give the illusion of a longer line than belts that do not blend in.
Although, belts that blend in are less interesting. Belts in softer materials are more comfortable to wear and require a taller body. Shop for belts on sale.
Shoe repair can punch holes or reposition buckles on too large or too small bargain belts. If you really like a particular belt you can recycle the belt buckle. Shoe repair can remove it from the old belt and easily attach it to a new one.
Buy several narrow cords or braid trims that are complimentary in color. Take and knot them every 6" or so. Buy enough of each to wrap around your waist twice and tie in a knot.
For the evening look tie up a wide taffeta or velvet ribbon. Finish it the raw ends with a liquid nylon that coats raw edges and prevents raveling. Wrap cording or a wide belt around your waist then tie in a square knot. Wrap around twice for a more dramatic look.
For an elegant to a simple look buy an ultra suede brand fabric belt about 2" or 3" width and just wrap around your waist. The ultra suede fabric does not ravel, so the edges can be left raw or scalloped.
HandbagsA handbag does not have to match your shoes anymore, but by matching it will make your look more simple.
Neutral colors like black, brown, tan, taupe and burgundy are your best choices to invest in.
Leather bags are best for year round. Neutral colored one in canvas, linen, and straw are more for spring and summer. You should make sure its it holds your normal contents.
Shoulder bags are convenient, but be sure the strap is short enough for the bag to hang at the top of your hip bone. Don't let it hang further down like at your full hip or midriff because it will make your hips look wider. Longer straps are worn diagonally across the body. They can still be worn at the top of your hip bone. This style is very popular due to purse snatching world-wide.
JewelriesDon't wear too much! Maybe a pearl necklace or gold earrings or a pin can be worn everyday.
It will be your look. Keep it simple for a classic tailored look.
Purchase the real thing if you can afford it or good fakes. Jewelry will always be a big part of womens accessories
Here are some basics jewelry pieces to have:
Gold or silver and pearl earrings
Pearl necklace
Gold and Silver chains and bracelets
A watch that compliments other jewelry
Rings
