Haute Couture

"Koloron is unlike any other material I've ever worked with. It gave me the scope for creativity and experimentation that just wouldn't have been possible with a conventional material.
At the same time it allowed for a highly professional result. As a couture designer I place a great deal of emphasis on the finish of a garment. I work with precision, so I expect a material to work well for me and enable a high degree of technical expertise, as well as simply looking good.

I started by using Koloron for pattern making. The fabric is exceptionally strong and unlike paper can be modelled on the stand before cutting the pattern out. Furthermore, Koloron doesn't tear or fray, qualities which made it ideal for this purpose.
My next step was to develop some creative designs using Koloron, I found the fabric stitched easily and could be gathered, pleated and simply draped.
It could also be moulded, wired and bonded to make structured clothes, such as a fitted jacket or creased and bonded to a base, to create the seamless effect of the red and gold dress.

Paint, stitch, glue, everything is possible with Koloron Art Fabric

However the fun really started when I began to decorate garments. Acrylic, emulsion and spray paint all covered well.
The paint didn't seep through the fabric. Glues and glitter were just as successful, as was wiring the fabric. A completely different effect was achieved by ironing a colour photocopy onto Koloron.

Koloron proved to be a very workable and versatile material, which really encouraged the potential for experimental design. It has been a new experience. It allowed for a fresh way of working, free of the usual creative restrictions. Really all I had to do was let my imagination take over".

relache

I'd like to see some genuine development of this lens before I accept it to the Costumer's Guild. So far, it just seem like a paragraph copied from somewhere else.
