Are you on the Yo-Yo diet?
ups and downs are tough to deal with
past, chances are you have found your way
onto the "YO-YO" Diet. You won't see
any advertisements for it, you won't find
any books on it, and you won't find anything
on the internet about it. But trust me, it
definitely exists.
The "YO-YO" diet usually takes place
when you come off your diet and you go right
back to the original weight you were at
before you started that diet. Hence the
"YO-YO" effect. You lose 20 or 30 pounds
just to put it back on and even more sometimes.
So how can you stay off the "YO-YO"
diet? Easy. Just don't go on a "Diet".
Change your diet.
Change what your eating everyday. Change
your shopping list to cater to healthy eating.
Instead of buying donuts buy apples. Instead
of buying a 12 pack of soda, buy a 12 pack
of water. And get your butt up off that couch
and get out and do something.
Constructive and Decosntructive metabolism.
Which is which and how to make them work for you.

Constructive Metabolism (Anabolism) is the process of making
smaller cells into larger cells or carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
Destructive Metabolism (Catabolism) is the process of breaking
larger molecules, mostly carbohydrates and fats, down to release
energy.
The energy released in this process fuels the entire body. It fuels
Anabolism, heats the body, allows muscles to contract, and the
body to move. As these complex chemicals are broken
down the waste products are expelled from your body through
the skin, kidneys, lungs, and intestines.
Usually after you eat more Anabolic Metabolism occurs.
Your body is digesting the food and storing the energy for later use.
You need to give your body time to sort your food, or digest it
before you do anything terribly physical, that's why you wait an
hour before you go swimming after a meal.
After eating the body senses the higher levels of glucose
and releases insulin. The insulin tells your cells to start storing
energy for later use.
This is where calories come it. A Calorie is a measure of how
much energy a food will provide. The more calories the more fuel
is stored for later.
Now just like in your car, the gas tank holds gas until the engine
is ready to use it, but if you over fill the tank the excess will
spill over on to the pavement. Similarly, if you feed your body too
many calories your gut will spill over your belt.
So never over fill your gas tank or your spare tire could get ugly.
