Medifast - The Fast Easy Diet

Ranked #62,900 in Education, #1,067,633 overall

People often ask me for secrets or suggestions that will ensure that they have success on Medifast. If I were going to tell you everything that I know about success on this diet, this article would likely be much too long. So, in the following paragraphs, I'm going to give quick and easy tips that will hopefully give you a good starting point in having the most success (in the cheapest and easiest manner possible.)
Make The Medifast Shakes And Puddings As Cold As Possible, Add More Liquid, And Add Some Sugar Free Syrups If You Like: I used to think that this method of making the shakes was a personal choice, but after I mentioned this on my blog, I started to get a lot of comments about how these suggestions made the foods taste so much better. I don't think that the Medifast shakes and puddings are too bad right out of the box. But, they just taste better when they are cold (which is why I refrigerate them for a bit after I make them.)
However, doing this will thicken up the product, so I find it to be desirable to add a bit more liquid than what is called for. I personally don't like a shake so thick that it's a challenge to consume it. (Unless I'm eating it with a spoon, in which case I like for it to be thick and I will add some fat free whipped cream on top.) Finally, I find that I need as much variety as is possible. This is why I'm pretty generous with the fat and sugar free syrups. This way, I can have raspberry chocolate, caramel chocolate, and strawberry chocolate shakes and pudding rather than just settling for regular chocolate.
Don't Skip Your Lean And Green Meal And Make Sure You Stick With Low Glycemic Foods (Especially At First:) Sometimes people are surprised when I tell them that you're eating six times per day on Medifast. This is not really as challenging as it sounds. Most of the meals don't require much preparation and they are relatively small. With that said, they do want for you to make one meal on your own. This is called "the lean and green meal."
It's not at all uncommon to decide that it's much easier to just eat an extra bar or shake in the place of the lean and green. Once you get sort of used to not having to fix your own meals, you kind of get spoiled and might be tempted to skip this requirement. By and large, it is my experience that this is a mistake. For Medifast to work as it's supposed to, your body needs to get into ketosis or fat burning mode. But a few of the requirements that are going to make this happen is that your body is getting enough fuel from protein rather than sugar and carbs.
