This lens is going to focus on how to lose weight. What really is the best way?
Being over weight is now at epidemic proportions. While some say we are too concened with a person's weight; the reality is, it isn't just someone's appearance. It's the surge in health problems. We as a society have to accept that we are having a huge weight problem and it's because of our progression as a society in certain ways.
Food, and in particular fast food, is just too available. This is a good thing and a bad thing. It's better to have too much food available than not enough, but if you can't control your eating, you are going to pay the price by being over weight and risking your health. That's pretty much the over weight problem in a nut shell.
Now, the big question is: what to do about this problem? That's what this lens is all about.
First of all, you really need to take a look at a free report about weight loss, fat burning and being healthy here:
There has been some recent talk of how "slow" carbohydrates, also known as complex carbohydrates, are a great way to feel good all day and also lose weight. Why? Well, here is the difference between these slow carbs and the fast ones:
when you eat the slow carbs it raises your blood sugar level gradually and thus gives you energy gradually. When you eat the fast carbs, it raises your blood sugar quickly and gives you a sudden jolt of energy. The bad thing about the fast carbs is that you come down from the sudden increase in energy and then your body craves more of the same. This leads to eating too much.
So, the easy answer here is to eat the slow carbs instead of the fast carbs. How do you do this? Well, by replacing certain foods. Here are some examples: you can replace regular pasta with whole grain pasta. White bread with whole grain, wheat bread. White rice with brown rice. Eat more beans.
here is a website that will help you find the slow carbs:

Perhaps the first step in loosing weight is deciding whether you are over weight in the first place.
There are a few different guides that suggest what the healthy weight is for your height, age and sex. Of course these aren't completely accurate because some people have different body types, but I think it is a fairly good way to judge where you stand as far as being over weight.

fat burning
Fats consist of a wide group of compounds that are generally soluble in organic solvents and largely insoluble in water. Chemically, fats are generally triesters of glycerol and fatty acids. Fats may be either solid or liquid at normal room temperature, depending on their structure and composition. Although the words "oils", "fats", and "lipids" are all used to refer to fats, "oils" is usually used to refer to fats that are liquids at normal room temperature, while "fats" is usually used to refer to fats that are solids at normal room temperature. "Lipids" is used to refer to both liquid and solid fats. The word "oil" is used for any substance that does not mix with water and has a greasy feel, such as petroleum (or crude oil) and heating oil, regardless of its chemical structure.
Fats form a category of lipid, distinguished from other lipids by their chemical structure and physical properties. This category of molecules is important for many forms of life, serving both structural and m...
