How To Strip Fat Away

So, we see our image in the mirror and we don't like what we see. There is too much skin in places it shouldn't be. Actually the skin is okay, it's the adipose tissue under the skin that seems to be out of control. We've tried to lose weight but nothing seems to be effective long term.

It's more than just counting calories and identifying carb foods to lose weight. Any successful endeavor needs a good plan and a passion for patient persistence. To lose weight the plan and your attitude determine the degree of success.

Why So Much Fat?

Let us look at reasons we may have too much fat. Gene history; we can't do much about that after the fact. But if there is a propensity to gain weight we can leave denial and move to awareness and a plan of action. Physiological issues can be more difficult. However, many can be stabilized by medical intervention.

Aside from these two reasons we should have the ability to control overeating, taking in too much sugar, carbohydrates and junk food. Along with diet an inactive life style and a tendency not to exercise can contribute to weight gain.

Good Fat -- Bad Fat

Let us understand that, medically speaking, fat has value. Your body uses fat to:
  • help protect vital body organs
  • insulate internal organs from heat and cold
  • store energy

And, we need to understand that too much fat is not good.
  • Being overweight is stressful to bodily organs, particularly the heart and lungs
  • Being overweight is stressful to bones and joints, particularly low back, hips and knees.

Well Meant Advice

I've been told I can lose weight:
  • If I cut the size of all my meals by 50%. True, but am I getting proper nutrition?
  • If I exercise regularly. True, but do I run the risk of injury if done improperly?
  • If I reduce the amount of sugar intake. True, but am I getting proper nutrition?
  • If I buy a popular "diet book" and follow the directions. True, but I gained back more than I lost.

A Strategy

So, if you are serious and ready to strip that fat away let us move past most of the losing weight obstacles and become healthier doing so. I suggest the following strategy:
  • Before you start it is an absolute must to consult your doctor. Do not risk injury or possible health impairment thinking you can move forward without an evaluation by a licensed health care practitioner.
  • Take a "before" photograph and put it where you will see it daily. This may be a great incentive for behavior modification.
  • Your attitude determines your mindset. No need to tell everyone what you are doing, they will know soon enough. Set you mind to a passionate personal commitment to change your life for a more healthy and energized existence.
  • Be persistent. Healthy and permanent weight loss is gradual. Never give up.
  • Have an action plan; if you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there. Outline a plan, write it down and proceed with a positive mindset.
  • Use a proven program; this is the key to success. Build your plan around a proven program. There are money back guaranteed plans available that cover all facets of a successful program, and you can download them to your computer today.
  • Celebrate success and treat yourself to something special when reaching incremental goals.
  • Enjoy the results you see along the way. Lose the reluctance to look in mirrors.
