A New Year, A New Squidoo!
My husband and I woke up on January 1, welcoming the new year -- 2008. Actually, we had no resolutions of our own. 2007 had treated us well but with the constant bombardment of this-and-that new year's resolution in the media, we began to turn a critical eye towards our household.
That's when we noticed the 20-pound cat in the room. Our beloved cat, Little P.C., now at age four was looming kinda large. Last time we had weighed him, he was 18 pounds. Did we dare take him on the all-important weigh-in, the one that occurs on January 1 all over the world?
We did. It was not a sophisticated cat scale. My husband simply weighed himself -- "now, that can't be right!" -- but nevermind, then decided to weigh both himself and P.C. Our cat weighed 20 pounds this morning.
So that's it. Our kitty's going to go on a diet. A gentle one. This may take time. Like -- perhaps it was a mistake to buy a dog's feeding bowl for him. So the first thing we are going to do is purchase a cat-sized bowl for him.
