Tips and help with your rehearsal dinner toast

Tradition has it that the bride's parents will pay for the wedding ceremony and the groom's parents will host and pay for the rehearsal dinner.

That is probably the format you will have chosen for your wedding arrangements. If that is the case you wll definately need to open the rehearsal dinner with a toast.

When this time comes you are almost certainly going to be nervous, personally I wouldn't worry about this as everyone who has ever given a wedding speech or toast was also suffering with their nerves beforehand, it is only natural, but you can use this nervous energy to help power you on through what will be a long and tiring day.

Here are some examples you might want to use in your rehearsal dinner toast.

One. Let us first honor the bride and groom for a moment. To my son, "Tom". Your selfless spirit and your loving personality have won you a special gift, your bride "Kate". May you Cherish her. "Kate", you are indeed a gift from above and we welcome you into our family with all our hearts, and we give thanks in "Tom's" good fortune that he found you, and you him.

Two. From one Father to another, I personally want to thank (Bride's Father). He has made my wife and II feel so welcome and (Bride's Mother) and he have hosted such a wonderful wedding for wich we are very grateful. This is a day we will never forget!

Three. I don't usually cry, but I'll admittoday I was tearing up during the ceremony. How about anyone else? Wasn't it just beautiful? Let us toast to the joy, health happiness and long life of the bride and groom!

Four. I raise my glass and toast my daughter and the man she has chosen to be her life companion. A fathers sometimes doubts this day will ever come, and sometimes he fears it. My daughter is a princess to me, and will always be my little girl. May happiness and joy be with her always.

Five. Let us raise our glasses and toast the happy couple. The bride has been like a ray of warm sun light on my soul from the day she was born. Now, she begins a new life and there will be another man to whom she will turn for love and protection. But I want her to know her father will always be there for her. Cheers.
