How To Prepare For Fathers Child Custody Battles
Unfortunately, child custody battles are often part of bitter divorces, so every father, (and mother), needs to prepare themselves in the event that your custody case will go to trial.
Best Interests Of The Child
Preparation Is Everything
Fathers Child Custody Battles Preparation
To win your child custody case, you will need to prove to the judge that it is in the best interest of the child/children to be with you.
This is where serious preparation is needed on your part, and a father must fight for custody of his child, because you're parenting skills and daily interactions with your children will be thoroughly examined. You may be a terrific father, but you will need to provide actual hard documented evidence of this and if possible provide testimony from witnesses to back you up.

Record Keeping
In Fathers Child Custody Battles Record Keeping Is Key
For example, keep records of your involvement in your children's life such as your daily activities, your attendance at school activities, parent-teacher meetings, school plays etc. Document when you took your children on holiday, to the cinema, how you spend quality time with then. Take photographs. Have witnesses.

Parenting Agreements - Successful Post Divorce Relationships
Practical steps to help you create a workable parenting plan with your child's other parent.
If you are divorcing and you have kids, the most important task ahead of you is to make an agreement with your spouse about custody and visitation. No matter how angry you may be or how difficult your communication with your spouse is, put your children first and do everything you can to make decisions together with your spouse, rather than letting a judge or court evaluator make them for you. This means keeping an open mind and getting whatever professional help you might need -- from a therapist, a custody evaluator, or a family mediator.
What Is a Parenting Agreement?
A written parenting agreement or parenting plan is helpful in setting the stage for a successful post-divorce relationship. Just the process of creating an agreement allows you and your future ex-spouse to discuss most or all of the issues that will come up during your children's lives. In addition, if, after you create and sign an agreement, the other parent continuously breaks the agreement, you will have proof that he or she originally agreed to the agreement in writing.
Factors you should consider in writing your agreement include:
- custody and living arrangements
- visitation
- financial issues
- education
- medical care
- religious training
- holidays.

- I lost my daughter Colleen Villarreal in divorce. All the laws in the world don't matter if they are not enforced. The fact is that legal system and un-playable child support was used to force me out of my daughters life. People like my ex-wife and her family should be prosecuted for visitation interference. I made a website about it. http://wwww.ColleenVillarreal.com
