Trivia questions about dads & fatherly concerns

One of my students wrote an essay explaining the difference between a Daddy, a Dad, and a Father.

In her mind, a Daddy ties ribbons on pigtails, tells silly jokes, and cuddles on the couch while a Dad will play catch, go fishing, and barbecues. She describes Fathers as a bit more distant and less hands-on in the parenting role.

What kind of father did you have? Did you have a Daddy, a Dad, or a Father?

I definitely had a Dad. He relished fatherhood (and still does) and loved to play games with us and was bitterly disappointed when we grew up and no longer wanted to spend weekends hanging out. Fortunately, for our relationship, he discovered that becoming a youth leader at church gave him many of the same benefits and it became a win-win-win (for him, for the kids, and for us).

I hope you enjoy my fathers day trivia tribute and fathers day facts.
