The Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet states that you can lose 9 lbs. in every 11 day cycle in which you use this diet (it's called a cycle because every 11 days the menu generating software gives you a new menu). What is the truth?

After hearing feebacks and talking with many men and women who've used www.weightloss4idiots.com, I'd say that the common weight loss is 7-10 lbs. every 11 days, but the avarage is 7-8 pounds. That means that on one cycle you might lose 6 pounds but 9 on the next.

I'm afraid that you need to eat what's on the menu. Here's a little trick: go to the regular menu, not the vegetarian one, and simply don't choose any meat or fish dishes. Other vegetarians have done so and it gives them more options.

I have started with beyond calories, not the regular 4 idiots one. I needed to lose more, as I gained 44 pounds after menopause!! (I was thin all my life till then, even though I had six babies in six separate pregnancies!) I don't own a scale anymore, but I am at the end of day 4 of the Beyond Calories diet and all my clothing is already looser and I can bend over better. It is working! After age 50, nothing else had worked for me!! This seems to be doing the job!!

1. You do need to drink water on FatLoss4Idiots. Some people add a little artificial sweeteners to their water and so make it easier for them.

John I did something bad lol and i feel guilty about it.. today is my 3rd day third cycle i was doing fine till i came to drink my semi skimmed milk and saw my special k cereal and couldnt stop myself. It's best to take 3 days as you give your body enough time to rest between cycles. Some people do take shorter cheating days period, but I don't recommend it. The weight should come off, but give it time.

After eating a whole 150g pack of cashews today with some cottage cheese and i still wouldnt mind having some more. But that has like 700 calories,, i know on this diet its more about the type of calorie but is 700 calories really ok if it still didnt fully fill me up ????

Hi David,

The FatLoss4Idiots.com program gives you a menu with food that you choose from a long list of items. By following the menu you lose weight. However, rice isn't a part of the menu I'm afraid, but you should be able to get the food items at any market

Hi Karina,
I'm glad to see you're doing well. I don't know about the roasted peanuts. I don't like all the salt. I have a suggestion: mix one quarter roasted with 3 quarters unroasted. You'll still have the great taste but with less salt.

Also, remember that your body does need fat. You're not going to eat peanuts every day, so just follow the menu

Hey Jonathan.. Today is my 7th day so far i think im doin good although i havent been on the scale yet, one of my meals were peanutes and kiwi fruits. Is it ok to have roasted peanuts that sre salted? plus peanuts are really fattening! im worried lol xx thanks

Everyone loses weight differently and some people have a slow start but lose more weight in the 2nd cycle. I also advise to weigh yourself once a cycle. Don't lose heart.

I am new on this diet that I just purchased.Sausage links does that mean also flavoured maple syrup sausage breakfast links or Italian sausage or hot dogs. For chicken could I have ground chicken or turkey instead of chicken breast. If you could specify I'd appreciate it. I would like to know if frozen yogurt is low fat yogurt ice cream and also in shrimp meal could I have shrimp cocktail and if not could I add horseradish in Ketchup and lemon since I could have those. Is Splenda o.k. and lastly how about spray butter while I am cooking chicken. Thanks

I recently bought this diet and it says to space it for at least 2 1/2 hrs does that mean I could space it for every 3 1/2 hrs for each meal,as long as I wait 2 1/2 hrs or do I have to eat every 2 1/2 hrs on schedule.

Hey im on my 2nd day of the first cycle. I am not over weight but since I have moved to London from Dubai for my university I have gained about 15 pounds that I would love to lose. I am 18 and 132 lbs and 5'4. I dont feel very confident in jeans and tshirts and would love to lose it. I have tried this diet once a year ago but didnt complete it coz my mother thought I was starting to look skinny sick! lol I am going to do 2 cycles before I go back to Dubai for summer. anywayz i have a Question. The diet is based on calorie shifting that changes every 3 days. How does that work? because it seems from my diet that there is no shifting in calories since i eat kind off the same type of foods everyday!

I am on the 4th day of my fourth cycle and I have lost 15 1/2 pounds. This diet is easy to stay on and not cheat, and I also lift weights. I have not lost any of my muscle, and as far as I can tell I have lost only fat, while building muscle.

I was wondering if you could switch around the foods in the four daily meals. For example, meal 1 is oatmeal and green beans, & meal 2 is fish and walnuts; can I put the walnuts with the oatmeal and the green beans with the fish instead? Cause ain't no way I'm eating oatmeal and green beans together..yuck!

Well I am on day 9 of the second cycle and haven't lost a single pound. I must say I am very disapointed this round. I followed the diet. I had set a goal. I think I may have capped out which is surprising because I am not anywhere close to not being overweight.

Some find the Beyond calories diet to be easier.
However, the regular Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet is also great. The weight loss with BC varies from one person to the next but in my experience it's 5-7 pounds in 10 days

I began the diet 3 days ago. I know I shouldn't have, but I stepped on the scale; my nemisis in life. I lost 3 pounds (probably water). I don't get to my fourth meal until well after 2.5 hrs; almost like 4. Will this slower things for me??

I bought this diet plan and ran 2 cycles first time cycle 1 i lost 11lbs 2nd i lost 8. My dad needed to lose weight and i made up a plan for him he has just finished his first 11 days and lost 12lbs. But the best part about this purchase for me is a work mate who is really over weight. He recently went to the doctors to get some test results and was told if he did not lose weight he would die within 2 years. He was unable to do the low cal diet because he was hungry all the time. So i done him a cycle aswell. But he looked at the foods he could choose from and though there is no way you can lose weight on this. But after seeing me lose he decided to give it a try any way. He now works in a different division from me and he came to see me today to thank me. He started the cycle on Saturday and went on the scales before comming to work today. He was stunned 8lbs lost from Saturday. So you can say this diet may save a life. This diet is so easy and your never hungry wicked diet.

Hey John. Well I just completed 11 days of my 2nd cycle. I lost another 5.5 lbs. I am so pleased. That is a total of 12.75 lbs in 2 cycles ! I really only had the expectations of losing 5 pounds at a time. I am so happy. Anyone who comes across this diet I think will not be disappointed. I have done one vegetarian cycle and lost 7.25 lbs and it stayed off even with a night out of drinking beer! I am now on day 5 of a 2nd cycle and am down. I do have the bad habit of weighing everyday and noticed that fluctuation does occur. Therefore I will tell you how much my 2nd cycle total is when I finish! I will be trying the meat menu next. In all my experiences in dieting, I have found that meat eaters lose weight faster. I guess it's because of the lean protein in the meat. I am a big excerciser. I spurt run 2 miles a day and strenght train 3x's a week. I know I don't need to on this diet, but I was doing it before I found this wonderful program. I just wanted to share my success. I will keep you posted on the next results. I will be taking about a week off before I do the meat menu, but I will post those results too. I am so happy to find this program. It is truly the easiest diet I have EVER been on! Thanks!!!!!! :)

5 Tips To Lose Weight 

In order to lose more weight with the Idiot's Diet, I suggest you follow these 5 tips:

  1. Weigh yourself only at the end of each cycle. Weighing yourself too often can only lead to disappointment, since you will not see any difference in your weight each time.

  2. Drink a lot of water. At leat 8 glasses each day

  3. Walk in the evenings. A 30 minute walk 3 times a week can work wonders for your body.

  4. Don't compare yourself to other people. Be happy with your own weight loss. There will always be someone somewhere who has an easier time with the diet

  5. Enlist the help of your friends and family. They will help you avoid temptation and to stick to the diet
