Charlotte's Web is a definite re-read, but after viewing your lens I think I might like to take another look at Little Women. I used to love those characters.

It's a very famous area for authors where we live I guess. 15 miles away in Portsmouth was the birthplace of Charles Dickens, it was his 200th anniversary on 7th February. Jane Austen lived near here. Robert Louis Stevenson and J.R.R.Tolkein lived in my home town of Bournemouth, and children's author Enid Blyton wrote many of her 700 books in the county of Dorset where I grew up. You have some great books listed here and nicely done, blessed.

The Jane Eyre books is my favorite from Charlotte Bronte. Villette and Shirley is a must-read from her as well.:)

I've made a lens on Jane Eyre as well, I hope you drop by! :D

Wuthering Heights and Tess of the D'Urbervilles are two of my favourite books to re-read. Even though I end up feeling really sad at the end of both of the novels, I end up reading them at least twice a year!

I love Tryst by Elswyth Thane and read it over when I need a comfort read. Maybe I'll make a lens about it. Thanks!

I love your photo of Hemingway! I don't think I've seen this one. "Good and true.." How much better everything I write would be if I just kept that quote in front of my mind. My favorite book re-read is Housekeeping, by Marilynne Robinson. Did you remember today, July 21, is Hemingway's birthday? It's also my son's. (Both emotional homebodies :-) )

I read and re-read all the time, expecially if I'm tired and need to wind down. My husband thinks I'm crazy. I'll re-read the classics and there are several current authors that entertain me over and over again.
    Thanks for sharing.

Honestly, I'm not much of a book re-reader, but I love your list. You have some titles there that I'll just have to read now since they mean so much to you!

Great lens - two of your favourites also feature in my latest lens which lists the books (and music) I'd want if I was cast away on a desert island.

Some fantastic recommendations here, and your lens was in itself an enjoyable read! Many of these I have also really enjoyed, others are on my 'to read' list. Although it's not on your list, I finally read 'To Kill a Mockingbird' this year and wondered how I had waited so long to discover it.

The Bronte sisters were especially fascinating in that they lived very isolated lives and yet had such vivid imaginations that they were able to live through their characters.

I have enjoyed every word in this book and

Great lens, Jennifer! I've read all but the Asimov ones. One that I recently re-read was As If They Were Gods. It is an out of print but you can find it on Amazon, I think. It would peak your interest as it takes place in pre-history. The ending blew me away...BOTH times.

Marvelous lens! Great recommendations. I think a little re-reading of Jane Eyre would be nice right about now. :)
