    Very interesting ads. Innovative lense.

That pretzel ad is crazy! Crazy amusing that is. I really enjoyed the choreographed dance routine that included flipping up the back of your skirt

I haven't looked at pretzels in the same way since seeing that commercial - there's a curious longing, now. Hmmm!

    I <3 the Japanese, they're so crazy!
  • the777group Sep 18, 2010 @ 5:40 pm | delete
Yeah, these Japanese commercials are like an upbeat Disney-fied version of their society, though - one which is going through major changes, right now.

Previously, the Japanese been able to shift allegiance to the feudal lord / emperor - to allegiance to the corporation and thereby a guaranteed a job for life.

That is no longer the case and Japanese culture - and its ads - may well reflect that change in the coming years.

Actually, I will send you a message.
  • the777group Sep 17, 2010 @ 5:23 pm | delete
Thanks so much. I'll relocate these ads to my funny Chinese commercials page - Doh! Asian languages aren't my forte.
  • gan4boi Sep 17, 2010 @ 7:11 am | delete
Are you sure all of them are Japanese ads/commercial? In Fanta section, I hear one commercial in Chinese and one sounded like Cantonese. I'm trying not to be too critical, just bring them to your attention. Maybe all of them are shown in Japan.

It would be great if you could tell me which commercials are Chinese or Cantonese, I'll delete them. I can only go on what is written in Youtube, where it said they were Japanese.

LOL, these ads are awesome. It just reinforces my opinion that Japanese are crazy! :)
  • the777group Aug 17, 2010 @ 4:20 am | delete
Crazy - yes, absolutely. I was looking at my web stats and somebody arrived here looking for Hentai - no luck but I can't wait to find some interesting Anime ads.

My Fave has to be the Pretzel one but the grasshopper one runs a close second! :)
  • the777group Aug 15, 2010 @ 5:21 pm | delete
I agree. I'm generally not one much moved by advertising in general but I want some Pretz pretzels today - and I can't get the jingle out of my head! The Regai Energy drink is also a great commercial, tapping into - I'm guessing here - Japanese mythology and certainly the Pokémon phenomenon.

Ha, how interesting to see how things are advertised differently in other countries. Nice job! Blessed by a squidangel

Perhaps it's because we see it with a different eye but Japanese game shows and commercials are of a very high standard - amongst the best in the world. In the USA, I gather, they signal time for a quick snack!
  • vanidiana Jul 12, 2010 @ 3:02 am | delete
    They sure are entertaining!
  • the777group Jul 12, 2010 @ 3:20 am | delete
The best Japanese commercials ARE entertaining and really quite different. As you can see, I love them.
  • RinchenChodron Jul 5, 2010 @ 9:35 am | delete
Interesting and creative lens. Well done.

You really do have a talent for organizing a lens well. Got any points for me?
This really cute and funny stuff, and I wish you all the best in life and on Squidoo where we become all that we be when we are fully addicted to it. - Have a good on!
  • the777group Jul 4, 2010 @ 9:51 pm | delete
Why, thank you Tipi. "Got any points for me?" I hope to be creating some SQUIDTIPS lenses that detail how I go about making a lens, so I'll drop you a line when they're done.

In the meantime, aren't Japanese ads. fun?
