- Friendevent is a really good one. Its a calendar and a social network. its great for seeing what your friends are doing.

- Instead of just "touting your wares", use social networks to make friends and build your own contact list. Don't just advertise your business, promote yourself as a knowledgeable person and offer your help and expertise to someone else to help them to build THEIR business.
