Computer Cool School
The Cool School Computer helps children gain essential skills for Kindergarten. The age appropriate keyboard and writing tablet connect to the computer via a USB cable, allowing the child's work to be projected onto the monitor. The CD comes loaded with a variety of learning activities (reading, writing, math, art, music, and science) that are easily accessible by pushing one of the five function buttons on the keyboard. Each button has a picture indicating which activities it will activate (such as "Aa" on the reading button, a piano keyboard on the music button, and a magnifying glass on the science button). Young learners can take a field trip to different a farm, draw on a castle to explore different musical instruments and to write out letters that appear on the computer screen.

Yokidoo Swap & Go Snail
Eager crawlers couldn't help but chase down this heartwarming snail with the goofy smile, and well suited cartoon-like music. Fascinated by his rotating body on wheels, lively vivid colors and magical soothing tune, children repeatedly pressed his tail to keep the action going. A three-in-one toy, the snail can shed his body of twirling beads on twisted shafts and swap it with a stacking collection of rings of flowers, polka dots, stripes or swirly beads. Take a break from follow the leader, twist off the top piece that neatly holds the stacking toy together and your child is ready to dump and reassemble. This well-engineered toy offers your child plenty of flexibility, creativity and opportunities for learning.

Make Your Own Sock Puppets
With no glue or sewing required, kids combine three colorful, fuzzy socks then decorate them with self-stick felt, pompoms, and eyes to yield three sock puppets. Making the sock puppets is only half the fun. The best part is the hours of enjoyment kids get from imaginative play with the puppets they've created.

Step2 50's Diner
Order up! This large diner set introduces budding young restaurateurs to the hospitality industry circa the 1950's. With a cooking/meal prep area, a booth for seating customers, realistic sound effects and accessories including plates, utensils and pretend food, this set inspired our young testers to embark on hours of imaginative play. From hiring a staff and creating menus and signs to getting out play money (not included) and generally scouring the house for other props to make the restaurant experience complete, the kids took total ownership of their diner, down to soliciting family members to make reservations. Little details add to the set's charm and include a mini-jukebox that plays three songs from the 1950's, the realistic sounds of boiling water on the range and a sizzling skillet and a small buzzer that dings near the food pick-up area. One tip: a power drill makes assembly much easier.
