Baby Shower Favors

The niche for this lens is baby shower favors. The question is, do you really need them? Women everywhere love going to showers, and look forward to receiving a small token of appreciation for the gifts they've "showered" upon you and yours. You can choose your favors based on the parents, the baby, or simply because they are ridiculously adorable (our personal choice). The Bun in the Oven Candle(pictured right)is fun and whimsical; the About to Hatch Egg Timer (pictured left)is comical but practical too!

Sometimes the lucky duo reach the pinnacle of parenting - having more than one child at a time. Twins, triplets, multiples - while a shock to the parental sense of sanity, can be celebrated with great flair during a baby shower. The parents can celebrate multiple births afterwards.


For now, it's your job to shower the expected parties, and acknowledge their unique arrival. Consider items that will show the children's status - for example, for twins Two Peas in a Pod Candles (shown pictured right). This may be a new concept to some, but how about giving favors at your child's Baptism or Christening? What a nice way of thanking those who love you and your little one, with a small token they can cherish from the day.

Ok - most of the people attending the shower are women - translation Mom's, Mom's-to-be, Aunts-like-A-Mom(Get it?) All of them would love the token that expresses this sorority. Practical, cute, just for woman favors - manicure sets, key chains, cosmetic bags and other strictly female trinkets are loved by all of us (admit it~ we're worse than little kids at the arcade redeeming tickets for prizes).

So consider your guests and choose wisely, you know they can be the talk of the town, or the gossip in the ladies room! Would elegance make the grade? Is this a crowd that hasn't got modicum of humor? Or are they more apt to erupt with gales of laughter? Don't be afraid to ask for input from those closest to the Mom-to-be (her Mom, Best Friend or Sisters).

Who doesn't like an afternoon cup of tea? Tea reminds us of our aunts or grandmothers kitchens. Happy childhood memories. Or maybe sitting around with your girlfriends. Whatever the case may be, these favors are sure to please!

Ahhhhh, coffee! The elixir of life, to some! A necessity for new moms... It was my toughest thing to give up and the first thing I requested after finally giving birth! Remind her that she too will be able to have some soon enough!
