CallWave Fax to Email
CallWave is a fax to email and Internet answering machine service which assists professionals, small, medium and large businesses with receiving faxes, taking messages, making pre-screen calls and more starting with $7.95 per month. Call Wave Visual Fax-to-Email is recommended to users who require an integrated solution for their Internet faxing, voicemail and answering machine needs. Just as the other faxing services, CallWave provides members with a local fax to email number which delivers your faxes to your email account. CallWave also offers unlimited incoming faxes per month and a free trial 30-day period.
CallWave.com provides its subscribers with a personal private fax number in any area of their choice. When you sign up with Call Wave, you also select the area where you want your number to be located. You cannot opt for a certain number, only for a specific area. If you are not satisfied with the assigned number though, you can request a different one which you can then approve. However, for the time being the service does not provide a toll free fax number.
Whenever someone sends you a fax, it is delivered to your email inbox as a PDF document attachment, and there is also an online storage option for easy retrieval. CallWave Visual Email To Fax offers a package which meets the faxing needs of individuals and small businesses, with free setup and a standard affordable monthly fee of $7.95. Included in this charge there is no limit to the number of received faxes. The downside is that Call-Wave does not include a fax sending capability at the moment, and the user can only receive faxes through this service.
If you need multiple fax numbers for your business, you can get private numbers for each member of your company with CallWave Corporate Services. Just like for individuals and small businesses, with this service there is no limit to the number of pages you can receive. CallWave offers information on pricing for such options only after you fill in a quick quote form. Customer support and help information are available via email, but for the most part they are restricted to members only

Internet Answering Machine
If you choose to "take the call", you'll hear the caller as they leave their messages If you decide to answer the call, the caller will be notified, your internet session will be closed, and your phone will ring, with the caller on the line. If you choose to not answer the call, CallWave will take a message, which you can listen to over your PC. You can also choose to have the call transferred to any phone, including cells. Doing this allows you to speak to your caller without ending your internet session.
Also offered is the option of making free calls. This is done by entering the number you want to call and your phone number into the CallWave application. Your phone will then ring. When you answer, the person you want to call will be rung. Once they answer, you are connecting. This makes it an incoming fall for both parties, which is normally a free call, depending on the service that you have. You can also send text messages through the application. A contact list is also offered. You can enter in contact information, and, anyone who calls you more than once will automatically be entered into your contact list.
You can also choose to be alerted to any missed calls. You can receive these alerts by email or text message. Alerts will include callers name and caller ID info. You can also choose to have the voice messages delivered to you as email attachments. Another useful feature is Telemarketer Blocking. This ends telemarketer calls to your number. It also triggers the telemarketer to remove your number from their automated dialing system. Private Number Screening lets you see the Online Caller ID when it would otherwise be blocked. You can also request that callers who block their caller ID to enter their phone number. This can also be set as a requirement, rather than a request. You can also record your own personal greeting that callers will hear when calling you. CallWave Phone Number allows callers to reach you anytime, whether you are online or off, on the phone or away from home. When you are online, you'll instantly hear the callers message over your PC. You can set your CallWave phone number to forward your calls to any phone you choose.

PhonePage is a web-based homepage that gives you a permanent, search able archive of your calls, texts, contacts etc. Through it you can read or hear your messages, and reply to them by texting or calling, or both. PhonePage is accessible worldwide. Vtxt service itself is only available in the US.
They offer "set-up in minutes". This is achieved by use of "conditional call forwarding", offered by many US carriers. By entering your info on their registration page, availability of services can be checked. Then you will be given an activation code and operating instructions.
Vtxt service is free, under certain conditions. You must have a calling plan offering free long distance. Most plans now offer this. You also must have call-forwarding available at no extra cost to use. You can check with your carrier to confirm these details. Service can be deactivated at any time by dialing a de-activation code, which is provided to you by email when you sign up.
