Fear of Rejection - the Quick and Easy Solution
You can only feel rejected if you want approval from someone! And that in a few words holds the secret to letting go of worrying about getting rejected at home, at work or socially.
The best way to deal with those situations that used to leave you feeling stressed out about how people respond to you is to decide beforehand that acceptance is a bonus but not absolutely necessary. Sound strange?
This is an unsual viewpoint and that is why it works so well. Think about it - if you don´t need to feel accepted how can you worry about rejection? You can´t!
Now, you might argue that if you think like this people will be more likely to treat you harshly. Not so! This is the great irony of this approach. When you don´t have any fear of rejection you will be more relaxed and even more confident and consequently people will treat you differently.
If they see that you are feeling good about yourself they will take it that you must be worth treating well. Accept yourself and others will accept you - they simply reflect the acceptance back to you.
