What are Web Feeds and What is RSS?
You can subscribe to feeds and get automatic updates as they are published, either online or by downloading to your computer. The process is known as 'syndication' and many feeds may be read from one, central location rather than accessing multiple web sites. You can receive any kind of content including news headlines, blog posts, lists, audio and video podcasts etc. To find out more visit Wikipedia Web feed
About RSS
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content. RSS, along with Atom, is the format used to deliver web feeds. You can recognize a feed by the small orange icon found on web pages like the one at the top of this lens. The icon may sometimes show the letters RSS or XML.
