$10 buys 1,000 lbs.of Food...
Do you have something you're passionate about? If you do then you might be able to relate to what I'm about to say. My passion is working with children who live in poverty. Children who live in poverty do not have a choice, they cannot escape their environment. If children can't even get their basic needs met; food, clothing shelter etc., not to mention their need for love, affection, stability, education and security, how are they going to have hope for a future? Children who live in poverty need our help even if all we can do is give money, it will make a huge difference, without money they can't get food or even basic necessities of life. Moreover, if you can volunteer your time, that's a great help. For example, you and your family or possibly a group from your church could do a missions trip. So you may ask," How do I do that?"I'm so glad you ask. I happen to know of a well respected nonprofit organization called Feed the Children that is dedicated to helping hungry and hurting children and their families. At FTC they not only feed the children food but also feed their mind. They have an education program called Homeless Education and Literacy Program (H.E.L.P.), this program supplies books, school supplies, backpacks and much more. No doubt, many of us in the United States take education for granted, after all there are children all over the world who would love to go to school and can't. That's another great thing about Feed the Children, they're international; helping children in the U.S. and all over the world.
If you're interested in helping by giving a monetary donation or want to arrange a mission trip or just volunteer for a day please don't hesitate to contact Feed the Children. By giving of your time or money you will gain a sense of satisfaction that comes only from giving unconditionally without expecting anything in return.
Furthermore, did you know that a $10 donation will pay for 1,000 lbs of food for hungry children?

When Word's Aren't Enough
You Can Make A Difference
You Really can
Many of us have always had everything we need so we tend to not even think about those who don't. Especially in the United States; considered to be the greatest country in the world. Yet, we have hungry kids living in the streets in just about every city. That's why organizations like Feed the Children are necessary. Otherwise, where would these kids and their families get the help they need? Not only food, but clothing and home supplies are needed on a daily basis. The rising cost of fuel is the most recent problem, as the trucks that deliver need more money to travel across the country.
The need is great and gets greater each day. And we're the ones who can make the difference. Regular every day people like you and me can put food on the table for hungry families. This is the least we can do to make sure no child or family dies from starvation. How can anyone stand by and allow this to happen? Well, they do it by making excuses and saying things like I'll give some other time and some other time never comes.
Are you one of those people that put it off till tomorrow and tomorrow never comes? You don't have to be, you can help today. Don't forget $10 buys a 1000 pounds of food at Feed the Children. Help someone who can't help themselves and is totally dependent on the generosity of people like you.
