A Workhorse, March 19, 2007

This shredder is well worth the money. It is fast, powerful, and convenient to use. The only minor drawback is the challenge in changing the bag without having to vacuum out the shredded paper pieces in the slide-out wastebasket compartment. My wife and I just use the dustbuster, since the problem is nearly unavoidable. Even so, we are both very happy with this shredder.

Excellent Shredder for the price

This shredder is built rock solid and will shred anything. I have been through a few shredders before buying this one and thought I would take the plunge and get a larger shredder. Easily shreds documents, cards, cds - great to keep you personal info - well personal. It will easily shred thicker paper and a small stack of documents with ease. I recently shredded a large pile of old documents no longer needed and the unit did not overheat.

Keep in mind - this is a big shredder - but functions very well and is easy to maintain and clean the shredding mechanism when needed. Also looks cool.

A Powerhouse Shredder!, August 4, 2008

I've been through two paper shredders (Black & Decker) in three months. They always jam or break. So I figured I'd spend more than $75 and I love this shredder. The crosscutting method makes for compacted and unreadable pieces of paper at a whopping 15 sheets at once. Most max out at 10 sheets. Plus this `shredder" is so powerful, it easily cuts up compact discs, credit card, staples (thick staples) and paper clips. I have never had it jam, stop or overheat. Its great to be able to simply put an unopened envelope in it and have it just shredded. It's also extremely safe, but when you flip it over and look at the sharp grinders, you'll understand why this shredder does such an amazing job. There are some nice little extras that most shredders don't think about, like the rolling casters to push it under a desk or table. There is also a nifty little holder for the manual and the oil (you do need to slightly oil it occasionally). It's also fairly quiet, considering that it cuts up anything from 15 sheets to compact discs. It's well worth the price (check out the specially priced shredders

Excellent power for the price!

Before this product I had a smaller shredder that would choke on two pieces of paper at the same time...even though it said it could handle up to 5. No worry with this shredder! It is much bigger and is very powerful. I don't have to think about how many sheets of paper I have or even worry about opening my junk mail. Just drop it in and watch it shred with ease. It is relatively quiet...it has a nice powerful low hum as the paper shreds. The child safety feature is very nice and works wonderfully when you get your fingers too close. I definitely recommend this product! Before I bought it I read reviews for every product on here and was wondering if I needed something even bigger than this one. But there is no need to spend anymore. This shredder will handle most anything you throw at it.
