Women's Tennis - What Is It?
The Women's Tennis Association (WTA), founded in 1973 by Billie Jean King, is the principal organizing body of Women's Professional Tennis. It governs the WTA Tour which is the worldwide professional tennis tour for women.
The Women's Tennis Association can trace its origins back to Houston, Texas with the inaugural Virginia Slims tournament held on September 23, 1970. Rosie Casals won this first event.

I've noticed that over the past 15 years or so there has been a tremendous amount of coverage of women tennis players. Thirty years ago we had great women players but now we have great, beautiful, and SEXY women players!
What happened? (Not that I'm complaining.)
