Feng Shui brings Harmony
I recently purchased a wonderful book which I will highlight below. I have always been interested in Feng Shui and have incorporated a good many of the techniques throughout my house. Although, I feel I have so much more to learn, I did want to share a few things I learnt in this book.
I was not sure if I wanted to do this lens on the kitchen (which is my favorite part of the home, and here is actually the heart of our home) or the bedroom. I choose the bedroom because surprisingly enough, the way things are arranged has a lot to do with the flow and harmony of your relationship.
I will be adding a few plexo's because I know I have read some wonderful lenses written by some fantastic lensmasters on Feng Shui.
What a wonderful thing to do for your partner and/or yourself for Valentine's Day. You will feel a difference in the energy flow without a doubt.

Feng Shui in the Bedroom-Part One
If you take a look around your bedroom, you may already do several of these things on a sub-conscious level. I know for myself, since I have been living on my own I have a thing with placing my bed facing the door. That is the only way I can sleep comfortably.According to Skye Alexander you need to face your bed facing the door because you will feel more secure and comfortable.
-Do not place your bed under a slanted ceiling or a beam because that reduces the amount of chi that can circulate around your bed.
-Keep your closet doors shut to avoid being distracted by the energies of the things in your closet.
-Place matching nightstands on both sides of your bed because the number two signifies partnership and harmony.
-Place a pair of matching lamps on the nightstand because light is a favorite activating and augmenting Feng Shui cure.
-Since the color pink is associated with love and romance, try to incorporate some pink into your color scheme.
-Incorporate something red in the colors you are using because red is connected with passion and vitality. Use this color sparingly because red is a strong color and could interfere with restful sleep.
-Tie a nine inch long red ribbon on your bedroom's doorknob because this will attract good luck and invite love into your life.
-To strengthen the commitment and stability in your romantic relationship, paint your walls white.
-By using Blue in your color scheme for the bedroom you will promote tranquility.

Feng Shui in the Bedroom-Part Two
I do not know why, but I have always did this in my bedroom: I have a small vase with a few silk purple flowers in it. Purple is the color of the Crown Chakra and a strong spiritual color. According to Skye Alexander by placing the color purple in the room, it will help you can gain insight and guidance while you sleep.-Place a piece of Rose Quartz on each of the nightstands because this gem emits gentle, pleasing vibrations that promote harmony and ease in a relationship.
-If you place two candles in your bedroom you are inviting romance-Try to choose red and pink candles
-Do not allow dirty clothes to collect in your bedroom. Place them in a laundry hamper and keep in another room
-Keep your bedroom free of clutter
-Clean out your closet on regular bases getting rid of things that you longer want
-Replace worn out bedspreads and curtains. This is something I believe so strongly in. One of my little pet-peeves is my bedroom curtains and bed comforter need to not only smell fresh but the energy needs to feel fresh. Most of the time I wash them both regularly but sometimes after my Spring cleaning adventure I will treat us to new curtains and a new comforter especially if I want to change color schemes.
-Wash the windows in your bedroom regularly because in Feng Shui windows represent the eyes.
-Place a vase of red or pink roses in your bedroom. There is nothing more special than having fresh flowers in your bedroom. Flowers represent growth
-Hang two bells on your doorknob to encourage romantic harmony. When entering your bedroom ring the bells to disperse any stuck or negative chi that may be lingering in the room.
-Mist your bed with romantic fragrances. One of my most favorite things to do is mist my pillows with a Lavender-Vanilla Mist or a Jasmine-Vanilla Mist. Both can be purchased at Bath and Body Works

Wind Chimes
I love them, and have them hanging everywhere in my home!!
To disperse "stuck" chi or negative vibrations, hang a wind chime in your bedroom window. The sound also sooths and helps you to relax after a long day.

- Is it round? When I was going through your lens, I seen where you wrote one for a round bed but I did not have a chance to look at the lens.

- I really enjoyed your lens and learning about feng shui. I changed our drapes to a burgundy color a couple of years ago and it made the quilt and room more alive. The walls are a medium peach color...would you believe I do not have any blue walls in my home. I will have to start trying some of these other ways to add more energy in a room.

- This is very interesting. I tried feng shui few years ago but didn't keep changing the home because we moved and now there are too many improvements to make to my house but when I'll get everything done, I'll start feng shui in my bedroom!
Very well crafted and presented page!

- Great lens. I have always found Feng Shui fascinating especially after a few trips to the Far East, China etc. I'm not sure my home is a great example, although I do live on the side of a hill with a view of running water (The River Thames) which I think is recommended by Feng Shui.
